Overnight hike and summit of Mount Whitney in California on 4.23.21 Karl: 3x's since age 7, while hiking JMT segments. The last summit was in one day, but definitely kicked my butt. There is a great free BLM campground at Tuttle Creek that is one of my favorites. Road my bike up to Whitney Portal and Cottonwood Lakes Road. Whitney is gradually getting higher!

Some of the finest scenery in the world in our backyard here in California. Despite the gorgeous looking weather, I'll wager that it was colder than a coal miner's lunch up at altitude. As always, thanks and respect, Kraig.

I would love to start hiking but I don't know how to start. I don't know anyone who would like to go with me. Also hiking gear is quite expensive and I'm a broke college dude. I hope I can start hiking when I am bit older.

Behind when we leave a place, we stay there, even though we go away. And there are things in us that we can find again only by going back there. Your video reminded us all our memories that we leaved there. thank you!

Good job good effort, Ontario CA is actually a litter closer than Las Vegas to Lone Pine, thanks for posting, I've done that hike 2 times so it was good to see it again in your video.

Amazing views. You are an artist with your camera. The sounds, the colors, and the sights are just beautiful - as if I was there. Bucket list destination for me.

You got lucky with low snow pack - it allowed you to do the route and avoid the chute. I loved this hike back in 2014 - glad to see you do it!

I was fascinated by the snow that remained on the rock surface and the color of the sky cut on the mountain. And Alaskan Tapes.
