Everything with Aeromexico is a scam. The service is awful, the agents are usually rude, and the equipment usually sucks.
I took a 3. 5 hr. flight from Tijuana to Mexico City, at dinner time, in busines class, and all I got was a microscopic bowl with a few nuts and a can of coke.
The flight from Tijuana to Shanghai, in a 767 business class, had the seats stretch slanted, so when I slept I ended up waking up at the bottom of the seat.
A poor excuse for an airline.

Too short of a flight to justify any premium fare, IMO. I would say thats the same for any airline. A 45 minute flight, Im flying basic economy. The only time I wish I paid for premium or first class on such short flights is when theres weather delays, when the 45 minute flight turns into 4 hours in that seat. Then its money well spent. Other than that, I dont consider premium seats to be worth it until you get to 2 hours or more flight time.

What I find interesting, as an Australian, is that overseas travel is still going on. The best we have, thankfully IMO, is the travel bubble to NZ, with very limited travel elsewhere in world, and with very strict conditions on coming back. You also can't really go away for an international holiday either, you need good reason to travel, such as work, family, etc. On the bright side, it's helped our domestic tourism industry: )

Just a side note about airport hotels: the security-side airport at Frankfurt was amazing. Absolutely soundproof, small but comfortable room, great views of the tarmac, and literally wake up and walk to gate convenience. Pricey, but worth it. Do other airports offer security-side hotels like that? Beats the stereotypical Hotel Hilton seven ways from Sunday.

I am fairly certain that Aeromexico markets this as AM plus. No different than Delta Comfort plus or American Main cabin extra.
An Economy seat with some increased legroom and pitch.
Not a true premium economy seat/separate class as you have on International flights, or now on some US domestic flights as unused wide-bodies have been reassigned.

This is like virgin Australia economy X. But they do allow priority security and boarding. You also get a bit more legroom especially in the front row of economy X. I prefer economy X myself as it gives more space and less airport crap. Price wise its $40 to 50 extra. But business class could be $400 to 800 more than economy!

I've stayed at that hotel in Mexico City for an early morning flight without a problem with the neighbors. But, the parents of a kid who couldn't stop saying he loved a Mexican airline 'bout twenty times at the top of his voice on the lobby the worst of my stay. If the kid was on the spectrum, I get it, but com'on.

What is your favorite premium economy?
Only have had American, United and Scandinavian(SAS) economy plus. SAS is my favorite had a very good lounge at O'hare, seats were bigger, booze was free. Got a last minute deal for economy plus for an extra 100 on a flight from ORD to STO.

that is what '' premium economy '' is everywhere, just few more inches, in USA is the same. I remember the old days in Mexico where everybody would get free beer and nice meals in economy. Around 2005 they copy the America model and now you get soda and peanuts: D

Makes you wonder if the pricing is something along the lines of many Mexican companies not paying for business class but paying for Economy, even if it is Premium. Working around the region youll often come across loopholes that national airlines then play to.

I have a choice between Frontier, Aeromexico, or Delta. 30 dollars or so is between the 3 of them. Frontier to me seems to be sorta like Spirit airlines although I have never flown on them before. Just not sure about AeroMexico.

Wish I had seen this sooner Noel. Just experienced AM+ on a flight from Mexico City to La Paz with Aeromexico. You were lucky, we didn't even get extra leg room! We received exactly 0 enhancements over a standard fare. Shocking!

Did premium economy from Southern California to Seattle for an extra $20 a person & totally worth it. Im 63 and I got 4 extra inches of legroom and was perfect for me. If youre shorter, stick to regular economy.

Premium economy is not economy seats with 3 inches more legroom. That is economy plus. Aeromexico is ripping everyone off. Premium economy seats are different, and wider than economy seats.

Virgin Australia has got the same setup the first five rows of economy is called Economy X and theyve got the standard economy seats at the back and they also have business class at the front

I just booked same option and alcoholic beverages are included. Im not an alcoholic though but Im planning to take some advantage of it! Also included 1 checked baggage and carry on.
