Would You Fly to this Tiny Ex-Soviet Country? Philippa: That cheese! Its served as the greatest delicacy anywhere Ive been in eastern Eastern Europe. I was served so much. Its a nice cheese, but perhaps not as an only food source.
Any airline that gives me chocolate before landing has my heart. Wings optional, engines optional, chocolate (upon landing) necessary.

Aeroflot's service to former Soviet countries has drastically improved over the years, even their economy class product is fantastic, with good food and excellent service. You should try their new product onboard their A320/A321 neos. I can't wait to fly with them again soon.

Flew one of their A321 a while ago after being lead in to the wrong gate first. Walked in to the intitial plane which was a Donavia TU154. Exciting to fly one of those, but seeing the interior, I was happy it that we were lead to the right plane after.

As an older person, I vividly recall the days of the Cold War and the subsequent dissolution of the USSR. I was struck by the irony of our main military adversary's flag carrier flying planes from the Euros and the US. No man is an island.

I wasn't sure where to ask this so have picked a recent vid. Have you got any plans to fly to St Helena, the small island in the south Atlantic? I think the airport there only opened a few years ago.
reply

I flew Aeroflot before from Shanghai - Moscow - JFK. I purposely chose the long route just to experience the airline. I would say Aeroflot is a lot better than my usual Delta/American nonstop route!

You are slipping Noel. As an experienced traveller you should know that the pink sausage is, most likely, either a Vienna or a Frankfurter and know how to tell the difference.

I really enjoy your vlogs and the background music and I have just one request, please stop smacking the camera at the end You can have a better transition for the end

Yes, did back in 2008. Bishkek airport has improved a lot. I found my check in baggage in a room which I'm sure we're just thrown off the baggage carts onto the floor.

I actually flew on Aeroflot in the opposite direction Have fun see Issyk Kul and Osh market I went to Kyrygzstan on a dare because it's difficult to spell on Sporcle

I know you get this a lot. but it would be really great if you did less business class reviews and put yourself in economy more often for these major airline reviews!

My ex fiance was from Kazakhstan. can you drop her off back there next time you go? Don't even have to stop just push her out the door.
reply

Just a question. Is there a way of checking your location inflight whilst still on airplane mode? I would really like to know
reply

Would I fly there? Sure, why not? But I think the Kyrgyzstan Tourism Board needs to do something about those fares.
