Saying Goodbye: Checking In 19 BAGS on a Flight! Luke: That was the best video you've ever posted in my opinion. It was full of real emotions I felt like I was on the journey with you, it was great. I know it's not your focus but I would love to see more videos that talked about your big move and showcased your new home etc and real genuine feelings, pros and cons to the big move. It's such a big decision to move your whole family to another country but it's very inspiring, keep it up

Welcome to Texas! Have you checked out the Austin Southern Terminal yet? It's like a secret small-town airport hidden inside the capital city's airport. You drive about 8 miles all the way out from the airport's main terminal and back in the other side by the control tower, and there are two discount carriers out there that do ground-level boarding.

Noel, Welcome to Houston! I've lived here my whole life. It is HOT AS HELL in the summers, but for 9 months out of the year you get great weather. I wonder if you've checked out the Lone Star Flight Museum that's here in Houston? Also, NASA and the Johnson Space Center is an amazing place to visit if you've never been.

Why in gods name would you want to move to the very broken United States (especially Texas! Youre seriously going to be bleeding money with healthcare in the states. youre in-laws arent eligible for Medicare, youre not eligible for anything (subsides, Medicaid, etc) because you arent citizens, just legal Aliens

Thats quite a move there Noel. Personally you couldnt pay me enough money to move to America, with the way it is right now politically and the insane gun violence there. Id be too worried to send my kids to school for a start. But good luck out there and hope its everything you could want.

I immigrated to the USA 34 years ago and if i had a choice to do it again i would. I think its hard to live in another with kids and parents. I did it but i think its easier in England as you get older unless youve good job benefits and savings. I miss England and my English family

So curious to know which part of Houston you're in. I lived in greater Houston for 24 years. Also wonder if you still think the weather is ok - it's one of the things I miss the least. Absolutely hate the heat and humidity

Welcome to USA. So many suitcases, did they not exceed the weight limit set by the airline? Why didn't you hire a logistics company to transport all your belongings to your new residence when you moved to another country?
reply

Welcome to America. I moved to the USA 45 years ago. I live in KC Missouri. I still hate the summers very humid and no relief in the evening. I hope you are not suffering like I am. I love the USA but not the heat.

Fun fact about that Singapore airlines flight, they use Manchester Airport to change crew and refuel as the actual route starts at Singapore. I only know as I flew with them when we went to Bali a few weeks ago
reply

you sounded very ill informed about in regards to your research on where to move to in the United States. The fact that you left NHS and other aspects of the UK is dumb.
reply

Curiosity question, how much did you pay extra per suitcase?
Myself and my wife are about to move but only looking to take a couple of suitcases each.

My daughter from South Africa married an American and it's taken 2 years in the emigration process, and she has recently (August 2023) finally moved to Minnesota

Why is Singapore airlines flying from manchester to Houston. That's so random lmao. i thought you were gonna go from Manchester to Singapore to L. A to Houston

I dont wanna be a dick, and i am sure the USA is a beautiful country and that most of the people there are nice. But i definitely wouldnt want to live there.

Glad youre able to follow your dreams - I truly hope you have a wonderful life, but I worry about the future for your kids in Texas - especially your daughter.
