Onboard The MADE IN CHINA Jet! Flying the Comac C919 travel: According to a report from cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike and a US Justice Department indictment, from 2010 to 2015 the Chinese cyberthreat actor Turbine Panda, linked to the Ministry of State Securitys Jiangsu Bureau, penetrated a number of the C919's foreign components manufacturers including Ametek, Capstone Turbine, GE Aviation, Honeywell, Safran, and others and stole intellectual property and industrial process data with the aim of transitioning component manufacturing to Chinese companies. [26][27][28][29] The report stated that the operations involved both cyber intrusion and theft as well as HUMINT operations, in most cases using a piece of code custom written for this industrial espionage operation. [26][27][28][29] As of 2019, four people have been arrested in the US as a result of investigations into this economic espionage and theft of trade secrets. [29]
In November 2022, a federal jury in Cincinnati convicted Yanjun Xu, 42, on counts of conspiracy to commit economic espionage, conspiracy to commit trade secret theft, attempted economic espionage and attempted trade secret theft. The US court found that Xu played a key role in a plot to steal trade secrets from western aerospace firms, for the purpose of helping the C919 commercial airliner program. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Brave man - as long as you are not on plane with Chinese engines.
Regarding the mil - I ass use that rabbit milk is part of famous Chinese sweet company - white rabbit. They made milky sweets - I first came across these in the 1970s when I lived in Hong Kong.

Greta video Noel; I flew this exact same route from Hongqiao to Tianfu with Spring airlines back in March. Tianfu is a lovely airport. Shame you couldn't spend more time in China. Chengdu's an interesting city and home to the famous pandas.

0: 50 MYYY GOD, THAT VAN WAS HIIIIDEOUS!
15: 50 That rabbit milk is a brand, similar to Nestle's Bear Brand, and interestingly enough, it started as 1980s-1990s squishy (milk) candy, and quite popular as well across asian region

Personally, I doy like you are sitting next to me just because you mumbling all the time, but surely is ok if you just do it a few minutes or so, not the whole time, your information is very positive, I actually like it a lot, thanks

The deal from the Chinese government in 2008 when they allowed Airbus assembly lines in China was that there would be a technology trade off. Now we see what they meant. Still the C919 lags behind the the A320 in many regards.
reply

You forgot to tell that the flight back to Shanghai was performed by an Airbus 320 because the C919 was grouded because of technically problems. It was flight back in the evening without passengers in lower altitude.

It's really nice that the background music in the video are all content related and have some sort of geo/culture styled according to the place where you were actually being. Really enjoy your content mate!

Made in China with most of the parts coming from other countries. Why did this plane get switched out for an airbus when it returned back from Chengu? It went to Chengdu as C919 but returned as A320.
reply

The rabit milk is actually a special collaboration between the milk company and the candy company called big rabbit so it is normal milk that's sweeter. I wish there is actually rabit milk though
reply

Noel is wrong. It's all made in china and it will capture markets of domestic routes of far east and south asia, south far east asia. It will be a dent on AB and Boeing in time to come.
reply

Dude, China 100% made is possible but China willing give u 40% to those Europe & little america beg for it cox China want to get their fly approval. Don't think airbus & Boeing is the best
reply

The hilarity with the C919 and A320 labels being in the wrong order at the beginning further proves how similar they look
Also good social distance over Wuhan cracked me up lmao

reply

Thats is not rabbit milk. The brand is called white rabbit. Their main item is milk candy, That milk is a brand new item made by that company. I grew up eating those candy.

Its funny to see how Brits are so polite towards everyone in their face but immediately condescending the moment they turn around. What a sick and cuck mentality Brits have.
reply

Its just a pity the plane is plagued with problems most parts of its construction arnt Chinese they are in fact European, it seems the c919 struggles to maintain 10000 feet
reply

Hi Noel Philips, it would be nice if you vlog, travel and spent time in China for more than 24hours there and just see your raw experience traveling inside China.
reply

very nice Noel! Why not try something a bit different! And I say a BIT different as it's not that far off an A320 as far as I can see. another wonderful review!
reply

Wasnt it swapped out for an airbus one of its first flights. Also most of it parts are from outside China. Hard to be proud of such low standards, but people try.
reply

Planes of this size really shouldnt have reclining seats, that's a serious folly on their part. Its a real shame as it crushes us larger frames behind them!
