What a brilliant system! I love anything user friendly, this certainly aids in encouraging clean energy. I don't think it's overkill, not for the purposes you need for yourself and for your woodland management. I appreciate your explanations of how/why you installed the solar panels on the roof and love your recycling of the shipping material! I have one dorky question, do you have any concerns about any of your woodland critters being able to chew through any of that wiring? I know instances of rats & squirrels having innocently disabled wiring and even back up generators by their chewing habits. I'm sure there's a way to encase wiring in some sort of conduit if you need. Just a thought. Thanks for another great video of your woodland adventure!

Great job, however why would you leave such a expensive kit on a cabin/ area that has already been hit by theives?
I could understand if it was a traditional solar setup with independent components.
Yet this system is modular and compact plug and play.
Would it not have been better to use it in your bunker at your house? Especially if petrol gets rationed as we move into winter?

Quick Note: This shelter is NOT the one that got broken into. That one is miles away in a totally different woodland. Thankfully no one stole anything from that cabin but it did make me want to have better security at this particular one which is in my own woodland. This setup allows me to have a camera hard-wired to permanently record.

Super overpriced, ecoflow vs just ordering batteries and a charge controller and inverter. They're about three times the wholesale cost of this hardware. Ecoflow, renogy, these are companies charging prices you'd see from solar installers who triple and quadruple the costs of solar, it's nearly unethical.

Having your system as 2 paralleled panels is actually better in your application because of the trees. If you had a clear sky view I'd say series them all but not for your application. Your system is more robust to debris covering a panel. It'll only bring half the system down and not all of it.

Hopefully there won't be anymore miscreants who just want to tear up your property and hard work. And if you were to be hiding in the forest waiting for them and taught them manners, you'd be in Crown Court! Another Excellent Video. Good luck etc

Love watching these videos. You live a life most of us can only dream of.
The part with rain on the tarp, my wife just looked up and said what's that, that sounds amazing but she also then doesn't want to move to the woods off grid with me

check out second hand wood merchants. one near me that often comes across excess panels from construction jobs and they'll sell them on for fraction of the cost of main outlets. pallet wood broken and stripped down for days.

While your charging your cordless tools and reading from your led lights, just spare a thought for those poor Republic of Congo children having to risk their lives digging up the cobolt that go into your battery system.

I have been watching you for a few years and really appreciate your content. Sometimes it seems like you've gotten more talkative and explain things in a few different ways. Maybe it's just me. Keep the good stuff coming.

As someone with a solar panel system in my home. My advice is to trim away some of the tree cover. I removed a tree that was shading my setup and saw a 33% increase in Kw/hr year round. Your batteries will thank you.

Paper the walls with sheets of newspaper like they had to in the days of the great depression, that would give you a timeline to look back on with all the things going on in the world today.

Go with lcd lights and fixtures so they drain even less volts. The goal is to drain as little as possible while using anything and everything you want or need so lcd's will work good for ya

Very nice indeed. I think those wires could be pushed into the fuse box unit a bit more, looks like there should be some cable clamps there too to stop them being pulled out.
