Hey Mike I forgot to ask you one of the thing how is your widland management going I haven't seen any videos on it recently So I was curious what's been going on Have you been feeling any more trees out have you been planting other berry bushes and other stuff Thanks up to Jewels do another video on that soon I thought that was really interesting the woodland management I know you've been working on the hedros and bring your stuff back I know you said you wanted to increase the species of tree diversity I was wondering how that was going to And what are the big things about dumb Forest is fungus Other mycorrhizal threats That will benefit the soil and the trees and give the nutrients in exchange for sugars and will communicate information between trees and the fungus like Forest Internet. have you ever had your soil checked for what species of fungus You have And if there's any species of fungus Edible or otherwise that you'd want to add to benefit the health of the forest Are there any animal species that you don't have that would be appropriate for your habitat area that you would want to introduce Things like hedgehogs salamanders frogs nuts toads I don't know if England has any natural lizards I know you guys have snakes and I think you said you were setting up falls or brush piles for habitat for small rodents and things like stoats Thanks have a great day.

Ah, the gentle luxury of a British winter. A few weeks, maybe a month and a half of nights descending below the freezing point, then along comes spring for you. Meanwhile, roughly a quarter of the way around the planet, at roughly the latitude of Pamplona, Spain, we have months below zero Celcius, and frequent trips below -15 Celcius before severe weather warnings are given. I do envy you the gentler climate, but I'm fairly sure the persistent high humidity would drive me to unpleasant mental places.
I'm in south-central Wisconsin, in the United States.

Camping is a lot like playing music at a gig! You get excited about going there, you load your gear and hurry to arrive at the gig or your camp site. You set up everything. You have your fun and then you tear idown your gear and load it up and either go home or to another location and do it all over again! The only difference is when you camp you hope you are around hardly no one and at a gig you hope there is a lot of people. As I get older I prefer camping, and of the same kind of videos I prefer TA Outdoors! Thanxz

I love the hot tent camps Mike and this new tent is something else mate. Massive inside, reminds me of the sub zero tents in the U. S. that they use on ice lakes for fishing. Nice little Tapas meals on this one too pal, i could eat that German sausage every day, great in pasta and chilli. Loving the stove too mate, Im in the process of buying Matt's Onetigris stove off him as i want and need something light weight.
Thanks pal, top video as always.

Hi Mike! I'm 12 and we talked a while back. For the holidays I got Dave Canterbury's set of four Bushcraft books. And that got me thinking. Have you thought about writing a Bushcraft book I think you're one of the best people for that. You are great at explaining things, and you're also good at demonstrating how to do things. Well, please consider this. You did a great job with the video. Thanks!

Iv seen other people fill hot water bottle like u did.
Try this. Lay bottle flat and tilt top up so u can pour the water in.
With filler stil tilted up run a hand from bottom to filler to expel any air. stil keepin tilt on filler neck screw in the plug. And u should have a nice hot bottle with out any traped air which cant then expand as it warms up.

Try letting some of the air out of the hot water bottle, then wrap in a towel or clothing and put inside a pillowcase. It will stay warm all night and in the morning you can unwrap whilst still in sleeping bag for a burst of warmth before you get up. I really don't know why hot water bottles aren't used more. They are fantastic.

A little be more of a comfortable camping trip this time around and that's fine. A friend of mine here in the states has started getting back in to camping and recently bought a tent and one of those little camp stoves and made himself a hot tent as well. I have shared some of your videos with him.

Welcome to The Joy of Cooking. In a Tent. Today we're whipping up a couple of cracking, wintry tapas dishes, why not try it at home, or even better in the woods! Excellent content. Not to be a wine snob but it is my job, get down majestic and get something better than yellow tail, you deserve it!

Good tips, but most days I'm hunting or alpine hiking, I'd love for it to WARM up to -5c. Lol. Yeah it's chili at that temp, and it's all relative, but that's a lot of effort for something that 3 parts of a surplus sleep system will keep you warm in. Keep challenging us and teaching us.

Pro tip for hot tent stoves, place an appropriately sized metal scouring pad into the top of the chimney instead of using a large spark arrestor. The airflow is as it should be, you’ll never get a single burn hole on your favourite hot tent and it’s much smaller and lighter.

The tent sellers state on their web site that they have been experiencing delays on deliveries since 26th Dec.
I suppose we can thank the Houthies for that.
That seems like a lot of effort for one night. I hope you didn't have to carry it far.

Always find your videos very relaxing and not over the top with promoting gear. More of an average guy just want to get away for a bit for a mond reset. Very inspiring. Looking forward to seeing how the workshop is coming along. Thanks

Nice one as usual. Think it was one of your videos that recommended TJM metalworks. Just received his camp grill today with a little mod to stop sausages rolling off he did for free. Looks amazing. Can’t wait to test this weekend!

Good stuff. Well filmed and presented. As an "older" ex wild camper no one these days seems to explain how how to clean your utensils and cooking gear which i think can be one of the most important aspects. Your thoughts

Really like this tent and considered purchasing it but it’s one of those tents that’s just a bit too short to stand up in.
If it’s a low tent one expects to crawl in but it’s a back killer to stoop.
