In this episode I make my secondary shelter for the Bushcraft Camp The camp is really developing. Now I have an a-frame shelter, lean-to shelter, log seat, chopping log, bushcraft table, fire reflectors and sawing horse Spring is certainly around the corner despite the temperatures being around 4 degrees celcius. In the next camp update I plan to get either my fire pit built or my bushcraft bed. Please feel free to give me some ideas on those in the comments section below Thank you so much to everyone for all of your support for the Channel, I am very grateful. See you in Camp update 6 - Mike

Dude. i am sorry i do not know your name. To the host of this show. Please do not feel the need to explain what would you are using. I understand you want to be respectful of the property owner and to nature. But even if you did use live tree, do not feel guilty. It is deforrstation done by those seeking a fortune, such as all governments. You are human and you have the right to it aswell. I see you are responsible, so enjoy. There was no point in writing this. but you have mentioned it several times. Lol. you are not destroying that bush you are in. so have fun man. I enjoy your shows. I come from canada and have spent my youth in the bush and i watch your show plus others because it brings me peace. Thanks man.

Keyhole shaped fire pit, with main fire in large section and a smaller area to drag hot coals into for more controled cooking. Your main shelter, why not, given that there is an abundance of timber, make three walls about 4 feet high and construct a regular pitched roof covered with a tarp high enough to stand comfortably. With a raised bed and somewhere to sit in reasonable comfort during inclement weather? But your project to date has been well executed with good solid construction, well done. I find your videos relaxing, and really beautiful. I enjoy the fact that you enjoy the simpler things in life, and notice the wildlife and other outdoor elements. America is going crazy over Survivor stuff because of a show called, Naked and Afraid where a couple of people, one male, and one female are thrown into the jungle completely naked with only one tool. Check it and another show called Alone. Good on you for condemnation of cutting live trees, by the way.

Great video. My friend told me about you so I decided to look you up and this was one of the first videos on your page so I watched. It was awesome. Your great man. My friends and I are getting into prepping and we like to take our bug out bags into the woods on the weekends. I live in Louisiana so there's no shortage of pine trees and I'm the only one who doesn't own a little one man tent that u can put in your bag so your videos will help me out a lot.

Love the show and love tafishing too. I don't know if you guys have heard of the BackyardBowyer, but he has a few ingenious creations for outdoor adventurers who do most of their adventuring on a budget. I do most of my things on a budget and am always willing to listen to all advice. Please do keep the video's coming. Thanks for your time and I hope BackyardBowyer can show you a few tips that might help you guys out.

Really enjoying the progress and amount of effort you put into your camp. You say your not a survival/bushcraft specialist. I think that makes it even more fun to watch. The adventure of learning with you as you go makes me want to build a camp myself. That little saw has to be killing you. Prob a little late to, but Silky saws or a box saw will save you a ton of time. Allis looking great. Thanks for bringing us along.

I watched a vid by Ray Mears where he was building a shelter with deadfall and he was saying that you keep piling deadfall on top of each other and it will become water proof. you seem to have lots of deadfall there, instead of the bracken, which does not seem to hold up well, maybe use the deadfall. Just a thought, very good vids, keep em coming.

On that walk around you can see several live trees you could get away with cutting down (with the land owners permission of course) on account of the fact they are too close to each other. I am not into forest husbandry so I am not qualified to say which is which, but it is easy to see that the forest is pretty compact/dense.

What kind of animal do you expect? A Ninja-Nazi-wolf? This fortress is to obvious to hide you. And your walls are to small to prevent you from any human attacksMy honest respect for all your effort. Sorry, but this is not at any account, to prevent any kind of assaults. Sorry for my bad english. Best wishes from Germany.

on videos before you said about the wind direction and by the looks of it you are making your new shelter facing the direction were it comes from. Even with the walls I don't think that will help much. I would of placed the back of the shelter were your seat is that way the wind would just blow over it.
