I'm from MN USA. Let's see. The most that I had been to was the park and forest near me, which wasn't even a wilderness like yours. My parents likes to take us kids out to fishes, barbeque, have parties and run around the lakes near our house. THe size of the lake wasn't large and the running wasn't very long but it was a great place to be relaxing after a long week of stuffing inside an office or house. Right now is still very cold so we didn't go out much but my backyard is spacy enough to have a mini-camping trip for my brothers and I so we used the piled up snow to build a camp there. Of course, with my parents guidances and permission.

Yup, I know, me again. Halibut fact: on vacation in Trout River, Nfld, circa 1975 - I was about 12 - Old man Hollering from the Bight of the Bay for help. Lads went to assist and ( you can research. they do grow this big. They estimated the size of the Halibut at 600 -odd pounds. The old man who caught it just said, ' put im on the cutting table(each Family had a 5-6 ft section) and cut im up'. Everyone goes home with fish today, he said. He was Legless later, But quite happy, and of course got the lions Share. I think my old Man got 40 lbs or so-a village of 300-400 people at the time. True story Guys. Cheers.

I think you guys have a great relationship wish my dad was into the same things as me. love them dabs they were big. and the hammock in the woods that looked so relaxing. ive been fishing all my life I fish the Chesil in dorset and camp but havnt done much woodland camping due to permission. but have all the gear just not had chance to use it. do you guys go to Ireland a lot and would you maybe one day do a guiding trip? i would be interested cause you have so much experience. keep up the good work all the best.

Hello Mike Love your videos. Im currently at the hospital fighting stommac cancer, and Ive had a few set backs. Today though I feel allright. Its perfect to watch your outdoor activities. It gives me a bit of spirit and helps me look forward to the little bit warmer time of spring, so I can get out. Im more of the type to bring a thermos and ready to eat, but even that lifts your head up and gives you a lot of energy. Thank you very much for your inspiring work and please dont stop doing it. My favourite place to switch off from the world is the beautiful North Yorkshire Dales National Park, a little dale called Swaledale situated in a large valley with the River Swale running right through past big towns and small villages alike. I've seen a lot of the world even at my young age of 21 however nothing beats sitting atop of the valley looking down on the sheep, rabbits and cows in the fields and the river cutting its way around the valley. Simply beautiful, feels more like home than home

One i love the Irish folk music you used two of that fish looked yummy three I'm from England too not far from you actually i live in Bournemouth in Dorset and my favourite plave to relax is tied between Bournemouth beach under the pier or the forest though i wish I lived in Cornwall as I love it there and four can you do a video about how to hang a hammock using self made wooden supports instead of trees (for those who want to try it before wild camping but have no trees to start on

One of the things I love doing in my spare time is spending a few days in Bangor Wales. It's just one of those places where me and my dad can get away from it all, it's peaceful, quiet and there's so many spots to do a bit of fishing plus we have a caravan a few miles away from the sea and if the weathers perfect we drive down to the rocks and sometimes we catch the odd bass here and there.

I am in the Little Rock, Arkansas USA area. I love you go to a place called Eagle Rock Loop. It is about a 2-3 hour drive and the spot I make camp is about a 4 hour backpacking hike but once I am there it is heaven. I have a nice river rolling by me and a really good fishing hole about a half mile walk away. Plus. no cell phone coverage so I am totally isolated. Cheers.

Greatly enjoyed thank you, and even managed to draw me out of my flyfishing 'comfort zone'. You've a way of making the viewer feel they're out there along with you. Particularly nice to see the Dad/Son dynamic working so well. My father, a fine man in many respects, is so intellectual and aloof that it's something I can only envy. Make the most of your Dad son
