Here are the 10 Knots I use for Bushcraft, Camping & Survival and How to Tie them. The knots are used for setting up a tarp shelter, ridgeline, guy lines, joining cordage together, lashing, and lifting heavy loads. Hope you guys find it useful and feel free to let me know more suggestions for Shed Sunday in the comments section below. Thanks - Mike Previous Shed Sunday Episode

Think about my John-knot I. Instead of Prussik or Klemheist knot, use loop knot on a ridgeline. Hold loop behind ridgeline. With other hand, grab bottom of loop, pull forward and toss over the right side of the held loop. Grab bottom of loop again, pull forward and toss over the right side of the held loop. Grab bottom of loop and put through the held loop, dress up, and tighten. Makes an easier (less movements) that Prussic or Klemheist, makes 8 X cinch knots on the ridgeline. If you really want a King Kong grabbing knit, then put the knot under both the right and left crossovers, then through the held loop, makes 16 cinches. John-knot II is a variant of the John-knot I. Need a loop knot with 2 or 3 on a tree limb, for multiple direction holding. Tie knot as above, and then pull the inner line of the left loop (from the left wrap, and inner line of the right loop (from the right wrap, and tighten down. Then you can hang hammock from one loop, and use 1-2 other knots for hanging cooking pot or ruck, or. from the other loops. Use the same 2-3 loops for multiple hammock hangs, coming off the common tree limb. Easy to make a toggle for these loops. Same 2-3 loop knot, wrapped over a rolled tarp, bedding, etc, . other 2 ends can wrap over the ends, keeping everything intact, with a single toggle connecting them all together. 3-4 movements. Easy up, easy off. Pull loop out of last loop, snap the knot and pull away.

Nice job Great info. Enjoyed this immensely. As far as putting Live videos out there, just my two cents but I find watching Live videos distracting and annoying. The acknowledging and commenting to viewers really takes away from the topics at hand with all the interruptions, not to mention generally end up running way too long with a lot of rambling. Like I said just my two cents. If I see something is Live I won't even attempt watching them any longer (during or afterwards) and move on to something that isn't. Hope you have awesome outdoor fun Good luck to you in making this a way of life. seems your well on your way Enjoy

Did not realize this was a new video, um Ta Outdoors i had a question, what camera do you use. I ask this because i don't really ever see any kids/teens making bushcraft videos, i'm 13 and i love to do bushcraft i have a katana boy shipping in and i also have 2 axes, but thats beside the point that no one my age makes videos so i would like to get into doing so, if you would be so kind to tell me what camera you use to make your videos. Thank you BushKid

Really enjoyed the Knot tying episode. I will be re-watching until I have most of them down. That is the type of content that I really enjoy. Bush craft tools and knife reviews. I realize that you have done some of those reviews already, but as you acquire new items related to Bush Craft please incorporate them into Shed Sunday episodes. Once again, Great Job from Florida, USA.

Thank you for your incredible teaching methods I absolutely suck at tying knots and I watched five other videos on the subject. I was more confused than ever Watching the other instructors was like watching magicians do slight of hand tricks. Your method is refreshing. Now I can actually tie a couple useful knots. just have to practice the other ones. Great videos, Mike

Mike, I need to catch up haven't u tubed for a while. I really enjoyed the beer reviews while you were camping but in the shed is fine. As its winter here in Australia I tend to drink dark ales when it's cold and the British do the best dark ales, I would appreciate some dark ale reviews. I must catch up on the camp updates they're my favourite TA Outdoors episodes

TA do you have a Windows/PC operations machine? Prepper University here (external 2 TB hard drive) would be a great across-the-pond transfer of information, 2000+ ebooks all topics for bringing back a post-SHTF Stone Age society back up to Iron Age, blacksmithing, 1920s era technology, . Any topic you can ask about, its in here. Interested?

This is the second video of yours that I've watched so far and I just wanted to tell you that I really enjoy them so far. I plan on going through all of them that pertain to what I'm looking for. Not sure if you still post vidoes or check your comments, I hope you do. You're very clear and thorough in your tutorials. Thank you
