The Bushcraft Camp Update series continues. last episode I built the hunting tower with ladder and a dog house for Jaxx. This time I build a tiki-style wood roof Kitchen and expand the perimeter walls around the tower. I also do a solo overnight camp alone in the woods. I cook up some steak on the campfire and give you a tour of the bug out camp

Hello, my name is Doug Ostler and I have to tell you that you ARE THE MAN I'm the exact same way about the outdoors and building things but that's enough about me. Your campsite is KILLER Being from the U. K your probably wondering what I'm trying to say, (THE MAN)= some kinda God, (KILLER)= bad, (BAD)= very very exceptionally good, and I know, and am laughing to that BAD is the opposite of good but that's what they say now a days. Doesn't it snow there? Shouldn't your living area be inclosed with the fireplace inside? Anyway if I had 10 thumbs they would ALL BE UP GOOD JOB

i know very how much you feel about building things, i used to do the same thing when i was a kid (legos, Connects (not how it was spelled) i also used metal set that allowed you to make motorized little things. like connects but metal. Very happy to see you have not stopped making this videos even tho i noticed (From the play list atlest) you have stopped building out there. love to see you build more or even exspand out words. make a better crafting area with a log holder close by for the peaces you might burn.

Fantastic series thank you for sharing. Im up in Scotland so very similar weather conditions to yourself. Im planning to build a camp myself and I have a question for you. Maybe a silly question though. When you use dead wood for stakes etc how long does dead wood last before its completely rotten and gives way? Are we talking years? Just worried about over time a wall collapsing or something. Many thanks buddy all the best.

Love these videos. You are an amazing builder. I really enjoy you explaining why and how you built something. Since this video was done a awhile ago Im guessing someone already told you that when you start to baton a knife if you make the first hit or two directly over the wood in the center of the knife it starts much easier. Keep up the great work

your videos are excellent, I would like to know more about your equipment, for example your pants that appear to have reinforcement in leather in the knee, which brand and model would it be? Sorry for that kind of question but in my country I do not have many options of durable and resistant garments for practicing bushcraft or outdoor.

You know you're getting old when you doze off watching a young man bust his ass in the forest. Seriously though. I have always loved the woods (born and raised in Southern Appalachia) and this was a very relaxing video for me. Yes, I did doze off three times, but that only means I'll watch it several times over =)

. maybe a door just for security, foxes, raccoon, skunks. Maybe it would be better if you are going to stay for a while, animals watch for routine being held for humans. keep your ladder at the hunting level so if you have any unwanted visitors during the night. It could be handy for a quick escape.

have you thought about burying a cache to store the things you use all the time so you don't have to pack them every time try a water proof 5 gallon bucket or a water tight box just bury it and uncover it when you get there. Like dig a whole under Jaxx 's bed the cover it up when you leave

awesome video your videos have really inspired me to build my own little camp and have sparked my imagination. you should totally start your own vegetable garden so it will be easier than hauling food into camp, and it would be a wonderful addition to your camp Keep up the good work

Your series on this bush camp has inspired not only myself to get back into it but has peaked my son's interest as well. Being in the digital age it is great he wants to do so. We have decided to build a camp ourselves on our 500 acre plot. Thank you and can't wait for the next videos.
