Cheap Off Grid Cabin: Alone with my Dog in the Pallet Wood Cabin

Join me in the cheap off grid pallet wood cabin which we built for free using recycled pallets. I spend the night alone in the cabin with my dog, spending time connecting with nature and the surrounding wilderness. Being in the tiny house with nothing but simple tools, a warm fire and some good food is sometimes all that is needed in life. I fire up the woodstove and cook soup, bake bread in the pipe oven and cook on cast iron. Being able to go off grid and switch off from the busy city life and busy materialistic consumerist world that we live in makes me feel free. I've always enjoyed camping in the woods, practicising bushcraft and survival skills and learning primitive ways of living. Back in 2018 my dad and I had the idea of building a cabin from pallet wood. We wanted to see how cheap we could build a homestead, using free pallets and we even recycled the old rusty nails. The pallet wood cabin is still going strong, and although I have now moved further away from it, I hope to be back there this year to spend more nights alone in the forest with just my thoughts

It would be nice, and helpful if you'd talk in your videos. Not trying to sound like a jerk or be disrespectful to you at all brother. I love your videos but I think that many of us would like to hear some narration. However, the natural sounds of nature in the background are awesome. Just a thought from a substitute in southwestern Pennsylvania, USA.

Everything about the video was relaxing For about 40 You could do some underpowered LED Cobs, indoor and out. 2 9v batteries or old 18650's and a tiny 1ftx1 ft panel could keep your lights inside and outside working all night. I love candles, but- over time they cost alot. Thankyou for lowering my blood pressure: )

So is it hard to make a video that you do not talk? Like this one. How many cuts did you have to take out where you spoke on this one? The reaso I'm asking. I do not make video's. But working around a camp. Aspecially alone. I wouyld be talking to myself constantly LOL As all ways, Thanks for taking US along

I'm becoming convinced you only got into survival as your wife wouldn't let you eat that much butter on your bread in the house, so you and your dad hatched a plan and this is the result. If you listen carefully at 3. 26 you can hear his heart cry out in terror.

I really don't see the point in disliking videos for no particular reason unless someone gets offended. Maybe the fact that he put too much butter on bread or the fact he didn't share (or did he) a sausage with Jaxx. hahaha

I can appreciate your artistic side, very well put together and edited. Looks very cozy, and strangely satisfying, the mix of sounds and lighting, with all the textures. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us.

suggestion: place either a mirror or polished metal behind the tea candle lights in the jars where you hang them that will reflect more light into the cabin than against the wall directly behind the lights.

You know what mike, these are the ones I love the most. Its something we can all make. Not that the other builds were impossible but this one feels more homely. Take care.
