Hideaway of Nungwi Resort & Spa (Zanzibar): review & impressions Sandra Nelson: I loved the soft browns and biscuit tones of the room. The tile work in the bathroom was just various shades of brown, but still graphic and artistic. I appreciated the use of black and white photographs as art pieces. In this colour scheme, bold colours would not have worked as well. This makes for a very relaxing place to rest. The garden walkways are so inviting. Even I wouldn't mind clunking along the pathways with my cane. And for me, the view of that beautiful stretch of ocean is the reward. I was born in Nova Scotia, and was regularly taken to the Atlantic sea coast for dunking. I miss the ocean, but these videos help. But I bet the waters around this resort are a lot warmer than the liquid nitrogen that swirls up on the Atlantic beaches.

Very enjoyable video as always. I won't comment on the positive as it's been very clear that you're capable of providing beautiful and informative videos. Instead, let me comment on a couple of negatives. I may sound like a broken record, but I feel food hasn't gotten much of a focus in this video either. Don't get me wrong, the vistas, and the hotel areas and spaces, and certainly the sunset, get the VIP treatment from you. Food seems rushed. Also, the drone scenes are certainly nice to see. For some reason they appeared a bit white and washed out. Also, slightly rushed, moving from scene to scene. I'm sure you'll be eventually be able to masterfully use these too to your video's advantage. Thanks

At the 12 min. point in the video you briefly touch on the issue of the on-going renovations at this hotel. One of the comments posted on Trip Advisor mention this renovation. Aside from superficial areas that appear to be shabby (like the lounge area near the swimming pool, were there any more serious examples such an inefficient air conditioning or bad food, poor service, etc, that in my opinion could really constitute being shabby? Thank you.

My family and I will be going this summer to the adjacent hotel (La Gemma del' Est, hopefully it 'll be as good or better than this one. We really do like your camerawork and carefully chosen diversity of luxurious destinations all over the world. Some of them are within our range, others are (a bit) too expensive for a familytrip. Nevertheless, keep on enjoying the good life. Greetings from Antwerp.

Beautiful beach and vistas, although not private. The resort lost me right at the moment of the water entertainment and then the Michael Jackson impersonator. Native, culturally themed entertainment in the evening might be more appropriate. Underwhelming food. Magnificent setting in search of an identity and brand in my opinion. Looking forward to your review but I can already guess.

you sir, are an amazing videographer from drone shots to subject close ups. I love the juxtaposition of the ambient music with the occasional clink of a plate or splash in the pool- superb editing. It is a pity the sandy area below the pool wasn't finished as it looks like an integral part of the resort.

Another excellent review and video. The drone shots really add to the content. Zanzibar looks like a lesson in contrasts. I follow some 'backpacker' vlogs who have shown the other side of the island. Thanks for taking me upscale.

Do they speak English? Im not a pool person so is the beach area done. Do they look down on people who bring something to float on while your in the water? Do they expect America money? It looks so peaceful.

Nice video, but the hotel is not beautiful. I have stayed at royal zanzibar beach and resort. The pools, the suites and the restaurants are better than this hideaway of nungwi resort and spa.

Wow. This is a spectacular place. The pool is gorgeous and the surroundings are to die for. I am adding Zanzibar to my bucket list and I plan to visit there in the next year or so.
