Death Valley National Park complete California scenic drive on Badwater Road from Highway 190 in Furnace Creek south to Jubilee Pass. Along the way we drive Artists Drive Loop, stopping at Artists Palette, and walking the salt flats at Badwater. The sun sets as we head east on Jubilee Pass to Shoshone, California. This trip was made in early February

Massive amount of debris cleanup and road construction is now mandatory through the Park, a month after this video was posted.
Very dangerous driving, not just from high heat, they have had flooding, mud/sand and rock slides, water still flowing across road in places, and sections of road have broken up and floated away. Travel at your own risk. It's going to take a lot of time and money to fix this.
You likely won't make it through in a passenger car, rocks will cut your tires, or you will get hung up on the rocks. It's even slow and difficult for off-road vehicles. There isn't much help out there.

I have been to Death Valley many times growing up in LA it is such a beautiful place the last time I was there was in 1986 and I remember driving back to LA on this road with my girlfriend taking the Badwater road to Shoshone and down to Interstate 15 and staying in Barstow your video looks almost exactly the same when we drove on it in 86 and it is still as pretty as it was then thanks for posting it!

I thought I knew the Southwest pretty well, but I've never seen this bit before. Next time, I'll watch it from a vehicle so I can get out and wander! thanks so much - and the added lil bonus of the 3/4 moon hovering in the sky - nice touch!

Been across it many times. and I always wonder what stories are buried under the sand. So many tried to cross it long ago, burying loved ones along the way. no markers or mounds left because of sand, wind, and time.

I did this drive about the same time you did. But very few people around. And very hot. About a month later, a man was found dead in his car at Zabriskie Point. Ran out of gas and died of dehydration.

Great video but it would be better if you detailed the road that you currently were driving on, the next upcoming town or intersection.

It looks like a planetary landscape where a spaceship malfunctions and crash-lands. Reminds me of "Planet of the Apes".
