A complete scenic drive through the breathtaking natural beauty of Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park on Fall River Road and Trail Ridge Road from Estes Park west to Grand Lake. This drive was filmed in September, 2022. The first part of the drive is through some pretty dense forest as we climb above the tree line and the best views start at about the 24: 00 minute mark

This drive will always remind me of my grandma. She lived in Longmont and had a lifetime pass to Rocky Mountain National Park. When I'd visit we would regularly spend the day driving a big loop from Longmont to Estes then take 34/Trail Ridge Road all the way to Granby, head down to Highway 70 with the final leg of the trip being whichever route was easiest to get back to Longmont. Sometimes we'd go on that drive two or three days in a row but always at least once per visit. It never got old but we did. Life goes by so fast. She's gone now but some of her ashes rest along those roads and next to a stream at my aunt's family's cabin just outside of Empire. To know she will always be part of one of nature's grandest creations is the most comforting thing I can imagine.

This park is beautiful and very very big. It has over 26 thousand acers and needs to expand the user space that is available now. The park has limited food and rest room facilities and parking. With a ton of room available, this should be done as soon as possible. With the increase in traffic, this would help pay for some of the cost. Things are looking shabby most every place you look. Administration must address these problems as soon as possible. The 70es look has long since past. Expand and improve, Roads, Restaurants , flush toilets, Parking.

This is one area of tour, I can't handle, where there's no rails on the side of road.
I believe Pikes Peaks the same way.
My sister in law went to Colorado and mentioned about that road.
There's another road in Kentucky or Tennessee, it was where it didn't have no rails on the road. I had never been in that region of State.

Phenominal scenery! Would love to see this with the fall colors. My car has to go to the garage and my friend backed out on this trip. I won't be seeing it during fall this year. Watching the video confirms I can't drive this alone with my fear of high cliffs, anyway. I really want to get over my fear of driving high cliffy roads.

Visited my daughter this June and we took that drive. It was incredible! I am from the Texas Gulf Coast and was amazed to see Pelicans in Grand Lake. thought I was seeing things. I looked it up and sure enough, it is on their migrattoy path and a breeding ground for them! Beautiful drive, STUNNING views!

Went there in July 2022. It started out warm, clear and sunny in the morning, but by the time we reached the alpine visitor center around noon it was freezing rain. What a beautiful park though. Take your time driving through it and take it all in. There is so much to see!

This is the very first U. S national park where my father took me for summer vacation in Boulder, Colorado. I was so amazed by the beauty of the Rocky Mountain when I actually see it with my own eyes vs. what I had learned from the book.

Absolutely a fun-to-drive location, the terrain is amazing, and the traffic is also super smooth, completely enjoyable experience. I wish I could drive a super luxurious car with family there.

Did it with an RV, was fabulous to drive on such a high elevation road. Filmed the drive too, until Granby, thanks once again for sharing it, was a great inspiration for my road trip there!

Those parts of the video where there are no guardrails. Wow! I never have issues getting drowsy when I drive but on that stretch of road I would be really wide awake!

Without Internet, without smartphone, whith a map showing some points, no real tracks, more mountains, more valleys. It was another time. Not a simple road trip.

One of my favorite spots to vacation. I've been on this road numerous times and it never gets old to me. Plan to visit it again next week.

Finally a continuous ride without frame changing every 2 seconds, with no music, just the engine. Also, the view is stunning. Congratulations!
