I've only ran into one guy who was from there at an underground concert club me and my brother were at to see Clutch. I told him about the Cartier (Car she a) and Quebec Northshore and Labrador (QNS&L) and his face lit up in amazement that I even knew Labrador existed on the map.

Very cool! I did t know it would take so much time to drive across a small-ish place like the Island of Newfoundland. Then again, it is a pretty rugged and winding highway. I’d like to visit that place someday. If we’re ever allowed to travel again that is.

Having done that drive several times I was wondering who the hell would watch it. 27, 000 people I guess. Wow. 9 hours of the most boring scenery in a province full of spectacular sights. Mind you from 8: 08: 50 onward would be gorgeous in good weather.

Thanks! As a kid in the 70s we drove this many a times. Im going back this year for the first time in 40s years and wanted to check out what the drive is like before deciding to drive the whole island or just shortcut to Argentia on the ferry.

Cheers from Australia! I did this drive back in 2003, driving around Newfoundland with my girlfriend at the time for a couple of weeks. Highlights I can remember are seeing my first moose, and first iceberg! Also visiting the town of Dildo!

Hey, so could you please please do add a video of the California to New York video you did back in 2017, but in real time I love that video so much and I would really like it if you added a new video of that in real time. Thanks!

Imagine ripping up your entire 300 mile railroad and all of its branch lines just to replace it with roads and having no way to transport your freight on your isolated territory.
This post brought to you by Alaska Railroad gang

I have to wonder why you took a right hand turn after leaving the airport to drive up around Airport Heights. Newfoundland is a coastal province, to bad you didn't show your viewers the beauty the province has to offer. :(

Thanks for posting. Don't think Newfoundland will be on my bucket list though. Too desolate and barren with a whole lot of nothing. What's with the aborted pit stop at 4. 30. 00 Fuel price too expensive

I rode my bike from Sarnia to Cape Breton Island last summer, crushed the Cabot Trail and all over NS and Baxter on the way home.
NFLD and PEI are the next leg of my Canadian cruise. I'll do it '21

It is so relaxing to watch this video, planning to drive to NL next year. What kind of dashcam are you using to populate the coordinates and other display Thanks again for the video.
reply

Did the trip and just under 6 hours and done here to Ottawa and just under 2 days I got a heavy foot now you got me thinking about what's the craziest way you can cross the island
reply

Can you one day do this for British Columbia, doing Highway 1 from Victoria to Departure Bay, then from Horseshoe Bay to Kamloops, then from Kamloops to Kicking Horse Pass
reply

3: 14: 25 Gander International Airport on the right. There's a reason for the low-flying aircraft warning: The road is about 300 meters from the end of a runway.

Pretty bad when I can skip to almost any part of the video and know where he is with barely a glance. This is what happens when you live here all your life!
reply

Ah yes the route so many people don't look up. People get off the ferry and have breakfast in PAB and then say well we're off got dinner plans in St. John's.
reply

Seems to be a lot of trees. Didn't think NL had trees based on all the tourist brochures with pictures of the coastal scenes with treeless landscapes: -)
reply

I could hardly see any buildings, people, houses and towns during 8 hours video. The nature is so great. However, I would feel lonely if I live there.
reply

Hello
This can't be in the beginning of June! Not a single green anywhere on the trees.
Is it not the 6th of February instead

reply

I'm from Quebec working in Fermont and go once and a while to labrador city in the continental part of newfoundland love it
reply

What's with the silly angle UC!
I adore your trips done all of them but with no road in front of me this is just useless!

reply

Where are all the people not using turn signals or passing when they are not aloud This is not the Newfoundland I live in lol
reply

That's the most convoluted way to get to the highway from the airport. Should have just turned left at the end of parkway. : )
reply

Just think: One day the Communist Party of China will own all this.
Probably sooner than later if Joe Biden is elected.

reply

I’m from Grand Falls. Seen a few of my buddies drive by on the highway as you passed. Didn’t see me though
reply

You know you've driven the island enough when you know exactly where he is the second you click on another point.
reply

It never ceases to amaze me how mesmerizing these videos are! Your content is so seemingly simple yet amazing!
reply

It's kinda fun to watch this vids, knowing that you are more than 5200 kilometers away from this places.
reply

This just popped up on my suggested, lol. next week we will be making the reverse drive, moving home: )
reply

The endless commercials I am 20 minutes into it, I cannot imagine how many more in eight hours.
reply

Thank you thank. you. no goofy music added just the sound of the road! My compliments.
reply

Will you be doing a road trip all the way to Vancouver from Eastern Canada in the future
reply

Hey, man. Why is this road drive taking so long in St. John's to Port-aux Basques
reply

Grand Falls Windsor is a cool city I've been to. I saw some cute girls down there
