The Frisco Railroad had a shop in Neodesha along with a shop for another big railroad in Fredonia. Kansas route 75 was the main route through Kansas from Tulsa, ok to Nebraska. I live in Buffalo which have a mine at the edge of town called Micro lite which mines a additive to cow feed a gardening soil. A England firm came all the way to Neodesha to start there company making plastic railroad ties. In Neodesha we have had to big fires at the long time employer an aerosol plant and big employer standard oil company. I think you would really enjoy Wilson County and a very popular city Independence, which has several celebrities that came from there and the biggest Halloween festival in Kansas called Neewollah. The guy who does the show American Justice was born there too.

An excellent Video of Lubbock. Your singing reminded me along with Plaques of all the Great Country & Rock & Roll Singers that have appeared there although I'm sorry to say you are not in the same league. lol. A very interesting Tour of the City & all the Sights & Information you spoke of. Fantastic & delicious looking food as well. I'm sure your Video of Dinner & the Menu makes a lot of your viewers hungry. Nic's Hair color looks great on her. hope she keeps it. Keep on Rollin' Joe & Nicole. lot's of road before you to Travel.

Hi Joe and Nicole, love your show. I like your story telling style, probably because we grow up about the same time, I. e, graduated high school in 1984 and college in 1988! I did get to travel many cities and states that you video, but not to the extent that you do now. I wonder if you two ever plan to travel abroad and do videos. Southeast Asia comes in mind, especially if you spend $90-$120 a night for hotel, you would get yourself close a luxury hotel room for that price. Food is definitely cheaper and great!

Glad you finally did a video for Lubbock. I do love the small town videos around here, I think you have noticed all of the Quanah Parker Arrows all around that mark specific events from his life. I take my kids on weekends to different arrows and towns. Two days ago I finally took them to Buddy Holly's grave and historical sites. We live in the south of town right on the city limits, so they love it when we get to drive downtown and see stuff since we don't very often.

I was very impressed with the video you guys made about Columbia, SC and Augusta, GA. I’m partial about these towns because I’ve been a resident of both of these for several decades. I was a little saddened however that you skipped the town of New Ellenton/Aiken, SC, home of the Savannah River nuclear plant, a facility dealing with nuclear waste. I'm from Lubbock Lubbock Born and raised. Thank you for shining your spotlight on the city. So many people hate on it who have never even been here. I personally love it because it has everything you need, but it's not difficult to get around, you can't get a new house anywhere else in the state is cheap as you can here, and the people are really nice. For entertainment Texas Tech sporting events provides a ton of entertainment.

My brother and his wife lived in Wolfforth till they both passed within 6 months of one another some 4 years ago. I have a feeling, although Ronnie was affected by a rare condition, that he died of a broken heart. He loved Linda. She retired from Texas Tech some time back. I stayed there with them during the summer of 2003. She was totally hospitable and accommodating to her brother-in-law and we had a great visit.

Welcome back Jack's, my new friends giving me a great passenger seat view of America aka Americana of those awesome small town main sreets that younger folks need to see and would have loved cruising the gut as I called it. Young Americans having fun as young men showed off in hot rods, nice cars or just a rusty pick up truck. Kinda like the movie American graffiti. Just sad about the times they are a changing

I didn't hear you mention John Deutschendorf along with Buddy Holly, Mac Davis, Bob Wills, and other fine musicians. John was a student at Texas Tech in the 60s before he came to be known as John Denver. Interestingly Colorado claims him for Rocky Mountain High' and West Virginia likewise for Take me home, Country Roads but he grew up in Texas and went to Texas Tech.

I was wondering if you were coming out at some point. Wish I would have known, but good job. People who watched Norther Exposure back in the 90's might recognize Barry Corbin's name on the walk of fame. Had you gone closer to the only real skyscraper you can see where the building is still slightly twisted from the May '70 tornado.

A wonderful video! The town is lovely and so interesting. The signage on the old Cactus Theatre is gorgeous, and it's great that it's operating again! The residential area is beautiful with the tree-lined streets, and it was awesome seeing the prairie dogs! Thank you so much, Joe and Nic, enjoyable as always.

Was in Lubbock in 1974. Training employees at Texas Instruments. Remember the tall building downtown without bricks on one side and empty. They said a tornadoe hit the building and bounced off saving downtown. They fixed the building and reopened. Rained mud one night

Did you do Holcomb kansas It is the murder site of the Clutter family in 1959. In Cold Blood is the name of book written by Truman Capote, which was later filmed about. I haven't watched all your videos yet but trying my best, so I am not sure if you featured that town

When a kid in 50’s when we went to Lubbock and the Sears store, we would drive round and round looking for a spot to park in! I saw a little kid run across the road in Mackenzie Park and get hit by a car. Kid went flying! Don’t know if hurt bad.

I was in Austin a good several years ago and was shocked at all the homeless people and the Graffiti. My guess is Austin is a blue city but not sure but sad to see it all. On the other hand I did enjoy the entertainment strip with some really cool bars.

Well, not as bad as Amarillo. Joe, I'll never forget your walkabout in downtown Amarillo - a ghosttown with tall buildings. I was expecting Lubbock to be just the same. But judging from other comments, maybe not that different afterall.

Love Texas! Lived in Austin when I was little in the 70’s. Nothing but fond memories.

Waylon was from Littlefield, TX. He was Buddy Holly's friend and bass player; willingly gave up his seat on the fatal plane flight to an infirm Big Bopper so he wouldn't have to take the bus. Waylon's generosity saved his own life.

I have never been to Lubbock. It was very nice. Would you ever consider doing the town of Burleson or maybe its to large to do. I really like it here. Lots of restaurants and close to Ft Worth.

I know when you do visit indiana I suggest you check out Terre haute indiana. It is the birthplace of the coke cola bottle. One side of the museum on Wabash Avenue is one huge coke cola mural.

Looks like a nice town. However, as far as those prairie dogs, don't ask a rancher what he thinks of them. Its easy for farm animals to break their legs stepping into those holes.

Lived in Lubbock from 1975-1984. I imagine it is much different now. I haven't been back since then. Nice to see the old town again.

I love the Texas videos. I remember we had prairie dogs in ND they were everywhere in town. Anywhere there was a field they had holes dug.
