Just got accepted to UCSD yesterday and I'm really confused if I should accept the offer or not. My parents are excited and are already planning to buy the plane tickets and pay the fees but I'm not quite sure. I'm an international student and have never been to San Diego before. This video dispelled some of my worries but I'm still worried about my social life. What do you guys think about San Diego itself? Is it a boring or exciting place to live for around 3 years of my university years?

SD love and SD pride, our beaches are cleaner than most places San Diegans clean up after ourselves and respect the earth. gaslamp at night an afternoon walk around La Jolla. Bonfires in Mission beach. Millions of things to do. And that sunny San Diegan personality is like nowhere else on earth, a pure so-cali laid back character, very hospitable place. Just dont let it turn it into another tourist trap. San Diegans feel me. come and visit but pls. leave.

Balboa park is pretty awesome. AMAZING architecture and the observatory always has a good show Los locos is my favorite taco place located right next to the Whaley house in historic Old Town. Margarita's cantina in seaport village is a close second. Also, if you're lucky enough to be there in the fall, a Chargers game is a MUST Qualcomm is a great stadium and the public transit brings you right there.

If anyone is looking for a really good beach to chill, cheap food and drinks, you're going to love Ocean Beach. My favorite place to hit up is a restaurant called Sushi Sushi. It's like 3 bucks for 7 California rolls and 2 bucks for some asian beer. Only 3 if you want to upgrade to a Corona. A lot of night life also with about 5-8 good bars to hangout with friends with some music

Uhhhhhh, Do Not Visit Tijuana, under ANY circumstances You are neither in San Diego, nor California, or the USA. You have an issue down there, you are on your own. It is a dirty, trashy, third world border city with nothing to offer. Let me just say that when friends visit and they want to go below the border, I tell them Have fun.

I recently hit San Diego eight months ago and I'm headed back within the next few weeks. Be sure to stop by Shore Club in Pacific Beach for their gold fish races on Wednesday's. Best burrito I had while in SD was the Surfin' Californina from Lucha Libre. Lahaina Beach House also has a great California burrito in Pacific Beach.

San Diego is beautiful. These guys are annoying. Sorry. But, SD is fantastic. You don't need ANYONE to tell you where to go or what to do. Throw a rock and you'll find something beautiful, interesting or cool. And, screw the craft beer fad joints. You can drink anywhere. Your time will be better spent elsewhere.

Enjoy the high cost of living in SD oh btw average medium price for a home is a mill; personal income tax is graduated from 1 percent to 13 percent. 8 percent sales tax if not high in some areas. Hey great place but the harsh reality VERY EXPENSIVE STATE CALI
