PCT 2017 Thru-hike Episode 1! Dixie finally gets started on the PCT! Check back every Wednesday for a new video: ) Disney: Hi Dixie. I tried to use your link to Amazon. The one that says that I can use it for just my regular purchases and it helps to support you. But the link only leads to your ebook, not that I don't want to buy your ebook but I was getting ready to purchase some other things on Amazon and I wanted to support you any how I could. Anyhow, am I not using it right?

Our reaction after binge watching your PCT hike. We ate when you ate, we were stuffed and have way too much junk food in the house now. My wife insisted we put up mosquito netting. I have to make noise before she walks down the hallway, in case of a bear. Not to be outdone, I have her checking around the coffee table for rattle snakes. lol

Question: Obviously there is ALOT of behind the scenes camera work that the viewer doesnt see. Do you think the other hikers get tired of seeing the camera? Or do they understand that you are doing a great service to inspire people to hike or for the enjoyment to those that could never hike again like me.

The difference between you starting out on this hike compared to you starting out on your AT hike is almost like watching two completely different people. Your confidence in yourself, the experience and knowledge you brought with you from hiking the AT all reflect right from the get-go

I probably would have ignored that rattlesnake by accident. Through the audio, it sounded like a cicada. I've heard so many cicada's I tune them out. Maybe a rattle snake sounds distinctly different in person. One day I'll find one and hear one out here in Idaho.

Dixie, I smile every time I hear you call this the desert. The area you are in would best be characterized as a chapparal or coastal ecosystem with a Mediterranean climate. You'll know when you're in the desert

How did you initially get in touch with the trail angels (Scout and Frodo) who took you to Campo? Is there like a forum or something that hikers can use when planning their hike in the months leading up to it?

Why don't you fly, easy the screwball TSA agent's going thru your stuff. Oh you can't have this or that and that and this in the meantime those items are all to often the most important items you need!
