Too little. Too late. Japanese auto makers like their American counterparts have totally missed the bus on software led transformation of passenger cars. Korean auto majors are trying to g but at best copying. Nothing original and disruptive.
Side bar: concept cars is an outdated way of product development. Legacy auto makers need to bring better products today, and not flashy promises about something that is over 14-18 months away.

When I saw the concept from the rear, I got a DC2 vibe. The curved glass hatch and the wide flared fender haunches. If they would wrap the lower side window line back around the glass and crease the rear deck on each side of the hatch, that would be a worthy re-use and call-back to that gen3 Integra coupe's design detail that I very much liked. I'll be looking forward to what this actually becomes.

Seems like if Honda/Acura have a ground up, all in house developed EV, they should be way past the prototype stage if they intend to start production in about a year. I'm looking forward to another EV competitor to the market, but the schedule seems too short unless they've licensed the BEV platform from a 3rd party.

Every maker shows off a very futuristic concept car and looks out of this world good. They always say most of the design will be in the production car. Then when you see the production car, its nothing like the concept and looks totally boring.

Honda doing the me too now with EV and performance hybrids. Really weird, considering the NSX was groundbreaking for a performance hybrid but little of that tech transferred to its mainstream affordable product line.

I’ll probably get dragged for this, but I think Acura should just give it a break. They’re not doing anything more exciting than Honda at this point. They’re definitely not more luxurious. This isn’t enough.

Yikes. Try again, Honda/Acura. If this is even 80% close to production it will have absolutely horrid visibility which was long a Honda trademark. The beltline is way too high and the rear window too horizontal.

Looks Ok. Rear better than the front. Not a much liking the long hood line for an ev. I hope the production hood is shorter and has ample front storage. The beak nose is a bit much.

I appreciate how they let you get up close and even touch it; pointing out tiny details etc. Not many manufacturers trust the media enough to do that with their concepts.

Look, Honda honey you’re 5 years late to this party, and that’s what you’re bringing No no it’s fine, it’s fine. Just pay a little more attention next time.

Acura went insane with the sizing of the wheel/tires and arches. needs to be massively scaled down. I do not get this styling that is so invasive in today's car design

I don't see the point in showing concepts this close to production. If we're within 18 months of sales, show me design intent, or unveil this concept 3 years ago.

Up until around 2007-2008 Acura was really humming along with awesome cars/suvs. Whoever took over around that time (and approved the beak) really screwed up.

I think this thing looks quite awful, but for better or worse Honda/Acura have never been good at translating their concepts into production.
