It's funny you mention how uncomfortable the seats are. I had a cherry 94 12 Valve with only 90k miles I got rid of because after only 2 miles, my back would start throbbing. And the seats were like brand new. I even swapped the unused passenger seat over to see if it'd help, but those things just sucked. Ruined the whole truck for me. Meanwhile I've driven my LBZ leather Duramax for over 22 hours straight without blinking.

I rented a brand new 2024 3500 big horn dually last year to drive from Missouri to California and the seats flat out were not comfortable. I think the transmission was a necessary change 5 years ago and im glad they finally did it. I hope Ram didn't play their whole deck with this truck because i think they just now caught up to a 5-year-old Ford or GM HD truck.

Who likes all this shifting With all that low end torque, you don’t need it. I remember when my 89 Mercedes had 4 gears, and started out in 2nd. Now, my car has NO gears and gobs of torque. Who wants gear hunting, when the cruise control is on, with a trailer behind. 8 and 10 speeds are MPG band-aids, nothing else.

Between having the lowest horse power and keeping the torque at 1075 the only thing going for ram is the best exhaust brake on the market. been driving ram trucks for 36 years. If they want to get people to buy these trucks they better get the 7. 2 cummins and push at least 600 horse and 14 00 lbs of torque.

I'm hoping you can respond because it seems you have the same vehical as me. I have a 2022 SRT 392 Durango. I'm wanting to trade it in for a fully loaded laramie (level it an put 37s on 18s) should I do it for my main vehicle over the 392 Fuel economy, reliability, practicality, speed, looks

Looks like they are half pregnant with this truck.
They had enough money to do some of the things they needed to do, but not enough to really make it so they would leap frog the competition.
3rd place is not a great place to be in this segment for another 3 or 4 years.

Theyre limping this along until the 2027 model year where its getting a ground up redesign. New frame, new cab, new engine, probably this trans will be the only carry over piece in the whole truck. Dont expect any changes for 2026 other than cosmetics

The rear headroom situation looks terrible. How did they get away with that. You get like a 6 in plate that you must keep your head or you will be touching. Also, how did you not talk about it more. Almost unusable for taller people.

This is a class of vehicle I will probably never need, but seeing all those towing cameras and equipment made me thankful that it exists for people that need it and can help keep the rest of us maybe a little safer.

Weirdly enough I have a Chevy LTZ and a friend has a Laramie, both 23 models and I think I prefer the seats in the RAM. Maybe the GMC's or Higher grade Chevys do better but I found the LTZ seats to be ordinary.

I love this class of trucks even though I don't need it's capability and I won't buy it until I need it.
I think they are worth a lot not 100k but let's just say 80 to 90k.
They are worth it if you use it.

Ram needs to up their GVWR like the other 2. My 2020 Chevy 2500 Crew cab long bed gasser is 10, 850 with 3786 pounds of payload. Spending 50k more dollars for half the capability Heck no

I can deal with a chrome grill, easy to clean and doesnt chip like the painted ones, but that chrome RAM on the tailgate would have to get deleted day one

Alex and Travis, What a thrill it is to see a pickup with an actual 8 foot bed. Sometimes I wonder if they still make them.
