What should you be sure to see at the Chicago Auto Show or your own upcoming home auto show? Alex covers the basics in 7 minutes (A new record) Peter L: Alex, you are still the best auto reviewer on YouTube. Heres my opinion of all these vehicles: they are the worst bunch of ugly blobs of machinery in my lifetime. They are horribly misshapen designs that are indistinguishable from one another without the badging. It makes me sad just to look at them. Are there exceptions? Sure: all of the American brand pickups -- Ford, Chevy, GMC, and RAM. Thats where the excitement is today. Also the traditional Jeeps like the Wrangler, and especially the new Gladiator. Everything else at the show is just ridiculously similar hunks of uninspired boredom. When, oh when, will the days of great automobile designs return? Perhaps never. Maybe we are in the Golden Age of pickup trucks and thats just the next evolutionary step in our civilization.

Nice quick, fast paced, overview Alex. The color on that Palisade is unique. I dig it. While the Mazda 3s C-Pillar looks like it was designed around 4: 45PM on a Friday at the Mazda HQ, its still, without a doubt the best looking in the segment. The Aviator looks dreadful. It looks like a Chinese copy of itself. Like everyone thinks, the Telluride looks like it was designed by Caddy in 2006. Hopefully it rides well, Im rooting for the Koreans. Very interested in the Soul review. I had one (current model) as a rental recently and was very sprised how much I enjoyed it. Aside from the NVH.

Subarus largest shareholder is Toyota. Why cant Subaru just use Aisin stepped transmissions instead of its own unreliable Lineartronic? If they really need to be a diehard for CVT, they should borrown CVT from Toyota models. Right now only Toyota CVTs are reliable enough. Other manufacturers will force you to pay big later.

I like Alex reviews the best. I started on these auto videos with AutoVlog. When it became he was shilling ads in his review, I dropped him. The video that pushed that wheel refinishing place was a clear advertisement. That was the video where he brought it in for wheel refinishing at lease end.

Man, this was a fantastic recap video. Well paced, informative, hit all the bullet points of each new/updated model, and a sprinkle of genuine humor to round out the package. Easily my favorite Chicago Auto Show video Ive seen this year. Thanks and keep up the great content

Great review man. Perfect length and coverage of content. Looking forward to your full reviews of some of these SUVs. But take a breath man, your oxygen level must have dropped to 70% during this review. lol.

Terrific overview. Crazy that the hoods of the big GMC and RAM trucks are almost at shoulder level on you (and youre 6 foot plus, and about the same height as the roofs of even the compact SUVs

Cant wait to see if the Passport gains aftermarket support like the 1st gen ridgeline did. VTM is an awesome AWD system that keeps on impressing me every time I get behind the wheel.

Great coverage, Alex Im a relatively new fan of Alex on Autos and was wondering why you dont have any reviews of Porsche cars and SUVs. Id love to get your take on their offerings.
