Not a major deal, but Ioniq buyers should be aware there's an important maintenance item that will need to be handled periodically -- replacement of the HSG belt (hybrid starter generator belt. I think you have to do it every few years. Not a deal-breaker, but be aware it will add some maintenance expense to have this done. I'd still consider this car, looks better in front now IMO.

This kind powertrain should be excellent in a subcompact, compact, midsize SUV Hyundai has on sale. In fact a similar sysyem could be used in full sized SUV they have. I understand the company has plenty HEV SUVs on sale but this powertrain is refreshed and refined in comparison with this one.

For someone such as myself, Id be drawn to a hybrid only if i wasnt sacrificing performance. A 9. 8 sec 0-60 is like 1986 all over again. Id consider an Insight when my Accord lease is up, or a RAV4 if I want something larger. The rest are too slow.

Ionic looks much better than all the other Hybrids out there and the cheapest as well. Its also got the best/longest warranty. It has more options/equipments than even the Prius. If I was in the market for a fuel saver Id definitely buy the Ionic.

We think the Sounds of Nature are Silly But I would think most Orientals are serious about destressing unlike us State side who rather engage in road rage. I think they are clever giving us more choices. I think theyre on the right track.

The Ioniq has a garbage direct injection engine and a dry dual clutch transmission, both are not durable by design and will cause expensive issues when a Toyota / Lexus hybrid is still as good as new.

The Ioniq is definitely my favorite gasoline car out there right now. I've always wanted a Prius, but I couldn't stomach the looks, so the Ioniq is perfect for me.

Plug-ins could be popular, since more people will want to avoid infection vectors like gas stations in the future. But regular hybrids might well not be as popular.

I would also say it's because gas prices have crashed so much. My area it's already dropping below 2Still, I know I'd consider a HEV or PHEV for my next vehicle
