Hybrid vs Turbo sounds crazy, but there is a logic to my madness. First: the CX-5 Turbo and RAV4 Hybrid are my two top picks in the compact CUV segment right now. Second: On paper the 227 HP turbo (on regular unleaded) and the 219 HP hybrid system are well matched. And third: A CX-5 turbo could actually cost you less than a fully-loaded RAV4 Hybrid. Say what?
The Future Is Here: It's gonna depend on what you want. I'm not as impressed with Mazda's looks. Overrated, IMO.
