Thanks for this timely review since I m considering the XT5, primarily because the new RX dropped the V6!
Regarding the firm ride, note the Sport trim you tested has 20 tires and a stiffer suspension tuning; the non-sport trims with 18 tires have a smoother ride.
Regarding the operating costs of the 2. 0l turbo 4-cyl vs the V6, any fuel economy savings of the turbo 4 are more than offset by the higher cost of the required premium gas! The V6 does not require premium fuel!
FYI, GM s chief recently said that the next generation XT5 will be for China only, not US, since they are prioritizing an electrified lineup for the US market.

Black interiors are so boring. I would feel like I'm driving around in a coal mine. Cadillac HAS to ditch the hard plastic lower door panels, lower dash and center console lowers to elevate the brand.

18: 03 Wth, how is the interior of the Nautilus worse? Did you even ever sit in a current Nautilus? It has a much better interior, no idea how anyone would think the opposite.

I feel it s more of an NX alternative. That s a considerable gap between its size and the RX. I have the 18 MY and I feel it s quite cramped with the kids in tow.

Urgh. That is one ugly vehicle. Cadillac needs to hire some fresh talent. That already looks 15 years old. The shape of an old Ford Edge.
