Two rather peculiar design points. Firstly the right hand drive models have the exhaust enclosure intruding rather too much and too high for the driver s left leg. Not a problem for left hand drive vehicles.
Secondly the sloping top of the wheel arches in the rear on all models including the pickup. This is the result of the rather odd decision to place the fuel filler and, where appropriate, Addblue filler above the wheel arch. This wastes more useable space than you imagine in the cargo area because very few items can be stacked above the wheel arches. Almost all rivals, whether vans, station wagons or pickups have a more practical shape. And did you notice that when you fold the second row seats down to maximise cargo room, that there is a substantial step up to the seat back due to the back folding on top of the posterior cushion, which doesn t fold because, well, just because.
The re-circulating steering is a compromise forced by the use of a solid front axle. There are plenty of very robust independent front suspension vehicles that can and do use electric power steering racks these days with all the advantages that allows, including lane assist and steering assist on highways. The Ford Ranger, for example, has a longer wheelbase than Grenadier but has a yard and a half smaller turning circle due to the restricted steering lock available from a live axle which is probably restricted to a 55 degree angle approximately on Grenadier.
Don t get me wrong though, this will suit a whole lot of people and businesses, albeit after the initial flurry, a reasonably small niche.

Alex, I used to live in Chichester (just south of Goodwood.
Go to the Old Cross for some good and affordable basic pub food. The Giggling Squid (thai food, Reina Kitchen (turkish food, The Boston Tea Party (breakfast) and The Nags Head for Sunday roast. And go checkout the Cathedral built in the late 1000.

If you want to go off-road have a dedicated off-road vehicle having front and rear solid-axle is the only way to go that is reason why the Jeep Wrangler is King in off-road situation because it has a solid front and rear axle and you have locking front and rear differentials

Seems cool but more like a billionaire s toy rather than anything anyone would actually pay money for as a daily driver with no dealer network, no reliability reputation, no parts network etc. You could be orphaned and end up with a deLorean.

I m fully in love with the button banks. As we see all of these car brands move to total touch screens, my preference is still to have manual buttons for most things. This is like an airplane cockpit and my inner child is delighted.

Wow, I was expecting a much higher price (though import taxes may raise the price substantially from what you intimated) Very cool vehicle. I wonder how it does on the open road.

I love this thing! I'd love for Alex to have one of these long term, it would be very interesting to see how this vehicle would perform in that scenario. Buy one Alex! :-)

You should definitely pre-order the truck, and somehow convince them to bring the diesel in that configuration. Still a strong enough market here for diesel trucks imo.

Seems like this is a 2010 at best. I can t believe it s a product that a hardly even out yet. That s a engineering feat I thought only Toyota and Honda could master.

Seems like all the journalists I m watching lately (tech, automotive etc) are all looking a lot more trim and healthy over the past 6 months or so.

Love the interior especially the switches and buttons. Feels like you're in a true utilitarian tool, not a daily driver commuter car
