The best of both worlds That's what Bentley is going for with its new, hybridised V8, Flying Spur Speed. Yes, you’ve read that right. No more W12. Bentley’s limo rocketship is now powered by an eight-cylinder PHEV making more than 770bhp. That means 0-62mph in 3. 5secs AND an all-electric range of 47 miles. If you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can’t afford it, so the saying goes. But it’s 226, 500, for the record. Join Mark Tisshaw as he tests the new Bentley Flying Spur Speed and finds out if it can be faster, cleaner and greener than the old car. Autocar, the world's leading motoring magazine and website, delivers industry-leading news, the most in-depth car reviews and opinion from our team of experts. I really like Bentley’s Crystal headlights. But what is this awful colour scheme with the orange and blacked out chrome. And on a Bentley luxury saloon toonasty. As for a Merc S class having the nicer interior. Are you kidding! It’s a video arcade in there! I’d rather have this Bentley, despite that colour scheme

Glad they kept the old front end. The Continental still looks great - even at the front - but I prefer the twin light arrangement and how the bodywork curves around them. Fantastic looking car! But it's fairly subjective - I can see how others prefer the new look.

A Mercedes interior is nicer
Top car reviewers (Mat, Doug, AutoTopNL, etc) stated that the Bentley Flying Spur has the best interior design in the entire automotive industry and in terms of quality 2nd place after Rolls and I agree with those guys!

I guess that this car has lost its U. S. P. The market is saturated with quiet hybrid lumps. and when it comes to driving pleasure my partner’s Hyundai i20N, costing 25K when new, would ace this.

Mercedes interiors aren't nicer they're literally an eye sore with cheap electronics, Bentley has nicer materials arranged in a timeless manner.

Anything that’s painted in the same hue as a RAC recovery van can not be described as having elegance and grace and that’s for certain.
