The BMW M2 has been given a 20bhp power increase plus a bunch of other updates for the 2025 model year. Torque stays around for longer, the interior has had work, it's more nicely balanced, and praise be, at a cost ) you can still have a manual gearbox. Join Autocar's road tester Illya Verpraet as he reviews the latest M2 on UK roads. There's a full tech spec below and for more on the BMW M2, find us at www. autocar. co. uk. BMW M2 Manual Engine 6cyls in line, 2993cc, twin-turbocharged, petrol Power 473bhp at 6250rpm Torque 406lb ft at 2650-6130rpm Gearbox 6-spd manual, RWD Kerb weight 1705kg 0-62mph 4. 2sec Top speed 155mph Economy 28. 0mpg CO2 229g/km

I’ve got a manual in frozen blue. I’ve had it for a year now and whilst it’s not perfect - fuel tank is small for a thirstyish car, apple CarPlay connectivity can be annoying, a bmw fault - the car is faster than is safe/feasible to exploit on the road, comfortable (non carbon seats are imo the best option, can carry four people and made a great companion on recent 2000ml trip to/through Germany. The looks are purposeful not pretty but this adds to the character. Seen as a muscle car more than sports car it s good fun and can cruise in comfort. And where else can you get 500bhp, 4 seats and a 6 speed box new

glad they got rid of the heated steering wheel button. I hated it, it weighed a ton and was such a hassle just sitting there. I am so much happier that you now have to go thru a menu to find it!

Nice colour. Personally though, I'd go for the M240i. Alright, it doesn't come with a manual option, but it has AWD, is more comfortable, nearly as fast and much cheaper.

They need to change it's face, especially below the grill.
Because that shape makes it look like a face squished in a helmet
Best way i can describe it

I watch nearly all AutoCar video reviews. This is the first I have seen of this presenter, seems a newbie Good job all round. Especially if new to video content.

It's bizarre. I find the new M2 completely hideous in stock form, but lower it a bit on some wider wheels and to me it looks better than the previous gen.

Autocar! This is a great presenter! Well done, Sir. Will be watching more of your reviews. You made me actually enjoy the New M2. Thats tough.

Best value in the automotive market at the moment. I can't wait to get a 25 model CPO in a year or two. $180k for a new Carrera S or $65k for an M2.

The buckets aren't for the weight savings really. The car weighs a lot. It's for the lateral support if you'll be tracking it often.

Heavy, ugly, and BMW will be ice skating uphill to sell them.
Illya, you look like a 4 th year engineering undergraduate get a haircut.

The 2025 environmental tax for this car in France is 70, 000 euros ) So i'm wondering who will be buying it (in FR.
