The Vanquish is the best effort by Marek Reichman, but that's a low bar. 20 years into designing Aston Martins and he's almost learned how to put in a semi decent effort. And that's just not good enough, especially when the engineering has never been better. But the Ferrari is just fantastic looking. A take on the 365 Daytona, with modern influences over the rear, it looks special and is. If I were buying, it would be the Ferrari, but I also still have soft spots for the 812 Superfast, and especially the original Vanquish designed by the legendary Ian Callum. That car still looks right today.

Predictable! Autocar pick's the Ferrari when most other comparison chose the Aston. To my eye's the 12c is a weak design with the usual tech overload cockpit, while the Vanquish is a looker with a lot of class. Also Autocar thinks the Vanquish is too heavy, which is the first time I've seen this used as criticism considering the car has over 800hp. I'll pay this verdict no mind.

Harry tested the Vanquish recently to compare it to the Cilindri. He admitted that the Ferrari was a fabulous car but when he drove the Aston you could see the pure joy in his review. He came down on the side of the Aston. I suppose it is down to what your needs are and your personal taste.

Unfortunately you want a Ferrari to be special, it's not a Bentley. The 12c is not special enough outside, inside and the engine noise is very muted. Aston is more of anoccasiona nd so much better looking, inside ( the Ferrari interface is terrible to use ) outside and sounds better.

Ok this is the test that is really showing two of the closest competitors in the GT world. Italy V12 vs United Kingdom V12 power. For me the one to get is Aston Martin Vanquish it's just soo good looking

The 12Cilindri is depressingly ugly. Imagine having all that heritage, all that budget, access to any designer you want. And this half-arsed Daytona rehash is what you sign off. Bizarre.

We all know that Aston Martin is the better car here because it does everything the Ferrari does and more but Ferrari fanboys won’t agree just because it’s a Ferrari.

I forced myself to finish this video, even though you still haven't figured out the sound. Maybe you should invest in some decent mics!
