Actualy the car is not dog slow in fact it moves pretty fast, road holding is fantastic and pushing through corners fast results in no tyre screaming just loads more grip and turn in.
Buttons are not as fidly as this guy makes out in fact you will rarely use them as the steering buttons do it all. Speaking of steering it is firm and responsive and not numb, well in my country anyway.

Good review, don't understand why silver so popular as most cars including this look better in any other colour. I never liked Astra's but this looks better inside and out than the golf in my opinion. The only nicer looking hatch the Alfa but that costs a lot more and where do you out your left foot

Just brought a 2010 1. 6 lovely to drive and handles really well only down fall is. I should have had the turbo model because it struggles to pull up the steep hill I love on. But I can live with that. The red ambient lighting looks amazing and tons of boot space overall I am well pleased with it

Apart from the Lotus Carlton, Omega and Senator, old Vauxhalls from the 1990's were very unlikeable cars. The original Vectra was arguably one of the worst cars of 1990's. It only with 2004 Astra onwards that Vauxhall got their act together and started making likeable cars.

I can see the design vauxhall were going for here nick seats boot and then nick other elements of VW cars, But saying that I would have it. The interior as improved alot as i have had the 3 other generations of Astra and this one the cabin feels and you like quailty

-JELH disagreed, i fell in love with the mk 3 astra and wept when i had to scrap her a couple weeks ago, of course tho i upgraded to the mk6 after a little saving, but its down to preference.

SO boring to look at. there's nothing interesting about it, and the parts where you can tell they were TRYING to be interesting have just ended up looking awkward. (rear lights)

Astra has always been such a nice Car, Looks to me that these Car journals must keep criticizing some and vice versa to stay alive- rubbish isn't it?
