In the mid-90's this supercar achieved a whopping 243mph on sheer motor power alone. 10-12 years later Bugatti can squirt a meager 10 miles per hour faster only at the expense of several more cylinders, Four freaking gnarly turbos, double the horsepower and a load of technology. Imagine if McLaren revisited the F1 with fresh tech and a few extra turbos and maybe a widebody aero kit. In terms of capability the F1 is still a monster compared to the Veyron, it might shame Bugatti once again

Let this sink in our heads for a moment. 390 km/h.
- In a car from the 90s.
- which had only 620 horsepower.
- which was powered by a V12.
- which was naturally aspirated.
- And it relied only on its light weight and aerodynamics.
When you compare this to the Bugatti veyron which had 4 more cylinders and was forcefully induced by 4 turbos and had to meet the right weather conditions. You begin to realise how insane technology was back at the time.

Sad that McLaren did not build an -upgrade- (kind of modern -evo- version, with like 700-800 ch, sequential gearbox, and a few improvements at handling to make it ultimate. Seriously, I'll be rich I'll buy it without exception instead of all of those modern cars using turbos jets engines! N/A engines like that are so noble, and pleasant to drive.
Hopefully there are still some brands which release cars with N/A engines, like Porsche with their GT3 versions.

This video would be so much better if dudes voice could be edited out, I came for the car not to hear some overactive narration, I have eyes I can see the speedometer blaring in the middle of the screen, keep your voice down and eyes on the road so I can appreciate the superb engine and vehicle without a screeching voice interrupting every other instant

-Anyway, 391kph, that-s quite fast isn-t it? - = British modesty.
I have always wanted to drive an F1 ever since it was first released for many obvious reasons. Not least of which is the control and feel one would experience in a central driving position.

So, after the ssc tuatara scandal, I wonder if somebody will try to analyze this run, was this really 391 km/h? Even on this bad quality footage there is plenty to scenery to measure distance, do sound alanysis, etc.

It makes you question modern supercars, they have 700hp sometimes more but they don't go over 330kph. Most owners don't have the balls to do it either. And of course, they don't sound even remotely as good as this.

Love when the driver says -But anyway, 391 is quite fast, isn't it? -
It is 2021 and this car is still the fastest NA road car and for me, this is the greatest car ever built and still looks amazing, not dated.

It's an okay car, but God do I despise that clunking, gutless engine which was a prehistoric junk heap even when it came out. I mean, COME ON! Lift your game, McLaren. This isn't communist Hungary.
