Helpers were off in both cars btw. it's really funny how some people just can't admit that there is no way one car is the best in every circumstance. The GTR sure is one of the best cars of this time and surely the best car for the money. The only point of this review is that are situations where a cheaper car can be faster, with or without electronics.
PS: Every competition kart would be faster round that small tight track then the GTR so every car behaving like a kart is probably faster; .

So dissapointed that Autocar set the gtr suspension into comfort where some of the settings on the diff are disabled. Also the GTR had traction control in Off mode when in this weather R mode would be best suited. Also the gearbox was in its most agressive mode R which may be too aggressive for the conditions. Really dislike videos where they are made for hits not accuracy. Set up properly and video again.

Well first reason why this happened is because if you didn't notice, a female was the other driver. :/ He was keeping up with her when he was in the gtr, and he wasn't even trying while trying with the Audi. And second reason is, no matter what, no car beats an Audi in the winter or in the rain. Nothing.

Its test of cars not bloody TCs. By turning everything off you get to know the ballance of the car. For example my old Bimmer has no TC, but you can still really nicely work with the chassis. Its so predictible. (Im not comparing my old coffin to these cars, its just example)

This is a silly comparo. the fwd biased setup on the A1 is obviously going to be more controllable. and it has pretty much no power, so its way less twitchy in the wet. I think an A45 would be a much better example of a car that flies in the wet.

people just don't understand what a shorter wheelbase and less weight can do, the old audi sport quattro would do the same to the gtr. now put the gtr against a audi s1 evolution and all the gtr fanboys will cry.

Audi is wrong for not selling this A1 here in the US. Small cars are extremely popular now. A mini car that has a 2. 0T with quattro is many people's dream.
