In Part 2 of the Auto Express review of the Range Rover Evoque we put it through a number of tests to see how it isn't really like a Range Rover at all. This includes comparing its agility and handling with a Range Rover Autobiography through a slalom test. We also do an economy test on both cars to see what mpg they get as part of a cost comparison. And finally we see how manageable the new Evoque is by using it in a parking challenge. Watch our video to see what happens

Just sold our td4 evoque manual after only 6 months. Absolute bag of shite. I would never have anything other than a German car again. Evoque is just an overpriced piece of plastic based on a freelander. Went against my gut feeling to buy my wife this car and oh did I regret it. I regularly drove my 180k mileage vw caddy to rather than the evoque as I hated the thing so much. Manual gear box amongst the worst I've ever used. Notchy and awful. Auto is slow and annoying. Baffles me how many I see on a daily basis so some people must be happy with them. Never again. piece of shit.

why do all presenters replicate Clarkson-s ideas and image on screen, give us something new, think outside the old Clarkson box of tests and patter and have new inspirational technology chat and thought. please move it up another decade, the 3 x Stooges are getting boring, change it up a Gear, do this and you-re getting onto a winner: )

a real fullfat range rover with a blown up focus? Look at the results. A smaller car is easier to handlle and better on the fuel consumption, wow thats amazong, isn't it? Justbecause they use the same family name it aren't compareble cars!

It's got the looks, luxury and other stuff, yes, but the price is waay to big and it's not actully a range rover as it is. But as a looker it's really good. -
And the review is pretty nice as well

-shutittwat Ford owned Volvo until 2008. Ford had Volvo develop the parent for Ford's Ecoboost engine. Ford also used to own Land Rover, thus we have a Volvo engine in a Land Rover.

The 2WD version was created because the demand was there.
If it were your company, would you lose out on sales because of that? It's about giving the customer what they want.

reply

While it may be a good car, it's not a Range Rover.
Noone buys a Range Rover to get good MPG and to live in an urban area; they get it for offroad and rural areas.

Idiots just stop moaning! he's comparing the Evoque to other Range Rover. In the end he's saying that the Evoque is the best car from Range Rover!
reply
