McLaren 650S Spider - faster than a 911 GT3 round our track?

Mclaren does have a track only Sprint GT model on slicks. Even with Trofeo R's it will demolish most here on this track. 918 would have fits with this beast on slicks.
Still got to love what they done to this GT3. Can't wait to see the RS model. I'm hoping they bore it out like the last 4. 0 RS.

First off, the GT3 is massively down on power with only 475 HP as compared to the McLaren's 650 HP, not to mention the McLaren is miles more expensive. So, is hardly a fair comparison to begin with. But, then you look at the lap times, even with 175 HP more, it only beat the Porsche by 0. 2 sec, that tells you how good the GT3 is. You add that to the amazing sound of the naturally aspirated 3. 8L engine of the Porsche, it is definitely the better car pound for pound in the context of the price tag.

Tight track again. and yes, Porsche always good at tight track with its cup 2. The 650S is still faster than the GT3 tho. The 650S will destroy the GT3 on fast tracks like willow springs, Nurburgring, Laguna Seca etc. Or, with a good sets of tires, it'll destroy GT3 all over the world, any track and any road. Asia, Mid east, America, Europe, everywhere.

thats why ive never seen one on real life, but ive seen lambos, ferraris, and porsches.
on the other hand Porsche is definition of perfection, technologically way superior to any other car out there let alone this crap.

I'm curious. He didn't start from a stand still. he flew through the start line at? kmh. When the times are that close together, it makes me wonder; did the Porsche cross the start line at the same speed? If the McLaren flew through it at 10, 20, 30 kmh faster, that's obviously an unfair comparison

It did not win bcz this is way more expensive than gt3 and with carbon ceramic brakes and with twin turbo and more power than gt3 it's def shame for 650s that bcz gt3 is less than second Slower I bet GT3RS will blow the doors of 650s for sure no questions asked#porsche everyday every second

McLaren need to work on their styling now, no doubt the engineering is top notch but the car lacks the emotion and drama of a Ferrari or Lamborghini. Also interesting to see how it stacks up against the next 458 class Ferrari as that will be turbocharged and lack the noise of the current car.

What about the turbo s? Suprised how good the 650s is given it's ride and how badly the 12c was beaten by the 458, gt2 etc. Will be interesting to see what the 458 replacement laps it in.

GT3 lap looks like it was wet compared to the McLaren's lap. Wouldn't that easily account for the 0. 2 s difference between the two? Didn't seem to have been mentioned by the reviewer.
