2021 Land Rover Discovery first drive review: still the best seven-seat SUV around? Pistonburner: No, there is this thing called Escalade ESV. We don't need any hyper-unreliable stuff from an Indian company.
I'll never forgive that company for how they're trying to trick their customers to the extreme with their model lineup names either: Discovery Sport is the cheap-platform based car but is named to associate it with the Discovery which has nothing to do with it, and also then the Evoque it shares its platform with is a Range Rover. why?

Can't put leather and soft touch on all surfaces. Sometimes you have to go with plastic. Always kills me when people complain about the materials on the lower part of the doors. For instance the use of plastics or carpet. Rather accidentally kick either of those surfaces with my muddy boots than leather. What'cha think about that?

Weird how so called 'profession' car reviewers don't understand the reason for hard plastics in certain areas of vehicles.
Many steering wheel centres are hard plastic - because of the airbag design. Door bins? Show me a daily driver that doesn't have some kind of mark of the door bin 'material' -carwow take note too!

I like the styling of the Discovery. I had one for a far while my Range Rover was getting serviced. Going from the supercharged V8 to whatever engine the Disco had was a eye opener to say the least. It drove relatively smooth and was nice for the day, but I wouldn-t buy one.

I had my new Discovery (MY21) for a week and it broke down with an electrical fault in the new mild hybrid system. Red warnings, -stop the car safely-. Less than 90 miles on the clock. Gutted.

In the UK and you got a LHD car? Out of the 3 cars for reliability would have to be the Audi Q7 or just the cash equivalent and buy a more reliable Mazda or Toyota.

At the beginning of the video the drivers side front corner of the car had damage on the bumper corner. Is this what happens when you try out a new car?
reply

We do not need 7 seat. we do not buy this car to be a van. I have and I choose 5 seat and never I want bring in the auto more then 4 people.

I enjoyed watching the Video Review. I particularly like - the New Pivi Pro Infotainment System but I don-t like true use of cheap plastics

Thank goodness we are no longer pretending this car is anything other than a vehicle for projecting, suburban, middle class parents.
