2021 BMW M3 Competition vs Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio: Steve Sutcliffe Track Battle IndoSpartan: The fact that this Alfa is actually the first rear wheeled drive in 20 years and an 2016 car, vs an establisched year on year evolvement 2021 car is telling enough. That fact alone tells me the Alfa wins, putting taste of design aside.
That said, anyone who can drive these cars on the edge all say one thing; Alfa is king in pure driving fun, response and experience. 90% of owners of the Alfa or BMW would never be faster or slower then it's counterpart because they can't drive on this level.
Both are great machines, and anyone lucky enough to own these are driving them, and loving them.
Personally I would go for the Alfa, and that's because I love driving the swirly roads, I love cornering, late braking and the sound of most Alfa's. It's never gonna beat my 3. 2 Busso full Novitec in sound, but the rest. It's an upgrade alright!

The alfa needs a good driver cause of traction control. Either way has better looking, better handlings, better steering, better sound, and of course regular Giulia must compared with M3 (480) hp because the M3 503 hp g80 competition is compared to the Giulia GTA.

really disappointed because EVERY videos of english tests about these cars just test them in a really cold and bad weather. we all know that the P Zero Corsa (Semi Slicks) has a really poor grip on wet road! try again in a sunny day and see the real difference haahhaha

Half second? -roasted- not so sure about that, one minor error by the driver in a lap and you get a half second. If anything it should have been simply too close to call. but surely not roasted? Both great cars no doubt, yet I find only one of them good looking.

Totally biased revue. Alfa has Pirelli tyres on which are really only suitable for HOT / DRY weather. not a cold damp track in South Wales. Put them on the same tyres and the Alfa will smoke the BMW easily. And the BMW is just pug ugly aswell.

As an italian, i choose M3/4 all the way. The italians, and i know what iam talking about, are too much hyping there cars for what they dont are. German cars delivering facts on race track with much more quality.

BMW is already 5 years younger and 20k- more expensive car so why would you additionaly take the M3 Competition instead od a normal M3. I think I know the answer XDDD
reply

What about behaviour on the road at 'normal' speeds? The Alfa is reputed to be very comfortable and hence an excellent GT car, does the M3 match or better it?
reply

Don't know why, but I have a feeling that the Alfa could get revved more, like he was short shifting. although it could just be that it does not rev more.
