How would this new Picanto perform both in comfort, power and general feeling when used NOT in the city, and more to go on longer trips with (much baggage not counted for)? Is it harsh? Noisy? I can't stand too much noise in a car; noise from the tires, from the engine and so on. I tried the last years model om the Huyndai i10, with a 3-cyl engine. I sounded like a tractor. sort of. =/ Any other suggestions which small car to look for in around the same budget, or a tad more? Yes, and hows that turbo-engine? All best!

Maybe it will grow on me. But to be brutally honest I think, Kias new design line is a step backwards. This is especially true with the Rio. But even the old Picanto was better looking than this new one, and same goes for old vs. current Sportage.

I have driven the 2nd generation with the 1. 0 lt. has a sporty handling and its quite nippy around town but on the motorway the engine feels gutless and is noisy.

Avoid the 1. 0 L NA engine. I have it in the 2nd gen model, and it's shit. Any acceleration takes ages, be that 0-40 km/h take off or an overtake on the highway.

Cute car. They've finally made it look better than its cousin, the i10. It's just a shame the turbo isn't available from launch.
