Hyundai i20 N vs Hyundai i30 N: Steve Sutcliffe track battle - Auto Express Bluey: Both cars are great! the i20n is more -boy racer- - light weight, fun manual, tough suspension. It's a little more rough around the edges on the inside, but both are very similar. I still prefer the i30n for a daily because of the adjustable suspension and dct. Most people are gonna spend more time on the road then the race track: P

You know what at 20 years old and only experience is a 70 plate 1 litre clio I would choose i20n just on basis that every young driver should experience a hot hatch and they seem to be dieing thing as we go towards electric and efficiency. Defo my plan is get the i20n for one last experience of youth then go for the bigger cars

I almost bought a i30n last year, but kept my 208 Gti by peugeot sport instead.
Surprisingly i have more room being 6'3- in that car compared to the i30n i tested.
And seeing this video im glad i did.
Still awesome cars hyundai is putting on sale these days.
Personally do prefer the i20n between the 2.

I'm thinking about building a car for racing on track and maybe rally later. Was thinking i30N but I think the i20N may be better with some serious mods done to the engine and suspension. I too have learned no matter how much power you have, weight makes all the difference.

Why in the name of god did you test a automatic against a manual? I think the i30 manual would have been slower than the i20, but now we never know. But maybe Hyundai gave you the dct because they want to avoid the smaller car crushing the bigger one.

Love them both but to me a manual is driving. Automatic is not driving. It maybe quicker but not as fun, manual gearbox makes you feel more in control and you are the driver not just a pedal pushing you.

Hyundai, please give us the i20 N in the US. Would be a nice upgrade from my 2017 Elantra Sport. I have no interest in the ugly Elantra N.

Suzuki Swift Sport (a model or two ago, if not current) is 200Kg lighter than the i20. Interesting given the emphasis Steve puts on weight.

I would easily take the I20n over the i30n I love a smaller more Nimble car any day of the week plus it has a proper manual transmission.

Very nice video, thank you.
Cracking driver too.
i20N with a remap to 250bhp would worry a few much more expensive cars!
