NEW Ineos Grenadier in-depth first look: interior, tech and features - Auto Express
video description
1 remote start
2 keyless entry and start ( in the great outdoors I should not have to take out my gloves and fight with my phone and wallet in my jeans pocket to get the keys to start the car in the freezing cold)
3 wireless charging for cell phones
4 more cup holders 2 for each passenger: water and a slurpy
5 multiple USB ports
6 an optional rear bench seat that could accommodate 2 kids that could be clipped in or clipped out. Entry to the rear would only need to be on one side of the mid row seats keep the batteries on the other side. Or from the small split door at the back
7 and maybe put another one of those clipping racks on top of each of the front fenders ( this is more of a nice to have )
8 a touring mode and an off-road mode that switches between ICU parameters that changes the emphasis from torque to horsepower for cross country highway driving. Changing the horsepower and torque curves with a flip of a switch
With these features I think this would fly of the shelf and these features would add less that $100 to production cost the technology is readily available and adds more utility to the product

I'm extremely excited for the launch of the grenadier, but have some questions.
Will it be available as a manual?
Will it be available as a 2dr -van back-?
What sort of payload weight will it have?
Will it be able to tow 3. 5t and max vehicle weight?
Will it be able to support a high load roof rack?
As much as I think it is a far better replacement for the old defender than the new defender, in terms of utility suitability, I struggle to see how well it will be received by the utility industry (my industry of employ). I mean will the company accountants really start signing off on this beauty when they can buy the hateful Isuzu Dmax for roughly half the price -. I for one certainly hope they do!

at 3min44secs the graphic shows the vehicle height as being 2. 03m Is that really right? Is so thats higher than a new defender, higher than a full fat range rover and higher than G wagon! It's also too high to fit under the barriers ay my local dump which are 2. 0m, and my work car park which is 1. 98m. Both a range rover and g wagon would fit. Hope it comes in at under 2m when its finally available to buy.

I want one. Two things: I don't have the money and I'll likely have passed away before it comes to market. This may cause me to linger in this realm, unable to -let go-. Come on chaps, step on it! You have nailed it thus far, I cannot wait for the finished product, or even the pre-sales media. I'm thinking I'll cover the walls with it. Is it ready yet?

The idea that utility companies and farmers will be using this has to go. These users already have much cheaper vehicles that do the job; double cab pickups and Gators work just fine. The Grenadier needs a focus, and that-s got to the the enthusiastic overlander because the leisure sector are the only ones who will pay a premium for this.

I'm sorry but no speedo in front of the driver is a modern design feature that needs to be banned. Keep your eyes on the road! They might get around it by offering a head up display but there was no mention of that. Other than that, it does what it says on the tin from what I can see. I think Land Rover will be losing a few sales to this.

A great pity that you didn't get rid of all the other people walking/talking who had nothing to do with this video. The overall sound -quality- was absolutely crap, with levels all over the place. NOT a good video for a great new product which will hopefully sell like hot-cakes - but with NO thanks to the production of this promo!

I love the unique saddle leather steering wheel. The same theme can be taken down to your own fingerprinted gearshift and shiny piano panelling. Exposed bolts on door panels will better compliment the rugged nature of your centre consul.

Hi, It would be great to have more detail of the seating spaces front and back. If I go driving long distances, can two people sit in the back while the front is full back? Is there headroom for a 6-4- person?

What a poor quality video, can auto express not afford sound equipment, it would also be nice to see what they are actually talking about instead of a camera pointed at 2 blokes
