New 2019 Lamborghini Urus review - has Lamborghini lost its mind by creating an SUV?

Lamborghini can be credited with creating some of the most iconic and exciting cars in history. The Muria, Countach and Murcielago are all poster cars of their era; magnificent wedge-shaped supercars, powered by enormous V12 engines draped in sharp Italian suits. On the surface, at least, it-s difficult to say the same about the new Urus. It-s Lamborghini-s second crack at an SUV following in the rather unsuccessful footsteps of the LM002, which was initially designed for the military back in the 1980s. The Urus has a very different brief, to help double Lamborghini-s sales figures and inflate the bank balance. Nothing more, nothing less

Just seems like they-re lagging miles behind with old technology. Electric is the way forward. This thing is terrible for the environment but I can-t imagine that the kind of person that would buy this monstrosity would care.

Why should a dual-clutch not be able to handle the torque? Bentley Continental, Porsche Panamera turbo S just to name a few - they all have dual-clutch gearboxes and enormous torque to handle.

120 grand and it will still leave stains on your driveway. Undercarriage wouldn't survive an off-road session. Waist of money. Embarrassing car.

How is the urus off road? You might say most owners of an urus wouldn-t do that but it is an suv. The Porsche Cayenne is incredible off road.

Ahhh, the review car's wheels already exhibiting some curb rash. Right at 6: 45 in the video. It's a hard-knock life in the press fleet!
