This is wrong. Audi is estate, bmw sedan. Estate is always little bit heavier and slower, than sedan. Also, every test always tests only on tarmac track, where historically bmw is better, due to Audi quattro system construction. For better overview, you must test also on gravel track & also snow track.

Amazing that the Audi is a lot heavier and down on power but got within 0. 3 seconds of the BMW. Considering they're road cars and the Audi is a better road car, (the BMW is too harsh) surely the Audi is the moral winner here? Impressed with Audi, wouldn't be even debating this 10 years ago

When is the industry going to move away from these utterly worthless and unhelpful track contests. people don-t even take their GT3-s to circuits, let alone a 2 tonne 600bhp+ barge that-s good for little other than the Autobahn or pub bragging rights.

I won't miss them. They're a case study of what's wrong with cars. Massively heavy, massively fast, little interaction, will never go near a track, purchased by rich people - which doesn't indicate driving ability or basic intelligence.
