I have had two Ranger Wildtracks. and there was nothing wrong with them they were great. the latest 2. 2 BiTurbo is a fantastic engine better than the previous 3. 2. I purchased my Invincible X 1st March 2021 IN RED ADDED LOADS OF XTRAS CAME IN AT 41K A LOT FOR A PICK UP. But it is superb the new engine is sweet no Adblue nonsense self cleans, ride is great not as good or smooth as the ranger but the build quality sets it apart. miles better than the Ranger in every dept. although the uprated engine is 2. 8 i dont think it as good as the Ranger 2. 2 BI Turbo until you put the Hilux iinto power mode then it is crazy fast and meets the Rangers performance. this is my 3rd Hilux and it is definitely the best.

1st and only Toyota I ever owned was an unstoppable 1983 Toyota 4X4 single cab hi-lux, which in the U. S. wasn't called hi-lux, it was just called -truck-. Underpowered, rode rougher than a lumber wagon, but it was the best vehicle I ever owned to date. Tougher than a 5 cent steak. I kept it for 22 years, and sold it in 2005 with 123, 000 miles on it. I miss it.
With the -chicken tax- in america, we won't see the hilux here until that tax is gone. So, I've never bought another Toyota since my 1983 truck. Still waitin'. I don't want the tacoma or the tundra.
Nothing will ever match the grit of the hilux. Wake up, america.

L200 can carry more, tow more and is stronger. Pretty plush and finished with better interiors. Cheaper also. Hilux does have the down hill assist where L200 doesn-t but otherwise pound for pound it-s probably the better vehicle.
But the Hilux has a Toyota engine.
Not saying the L200 isn-t reliable and well built but just saying- it-s a Toyota. That holds a lot of weight.

Why keep talking about the L200 when they are withdrawing from Europe? would of been better to be comparing to the Nissan Navara, similar power 190 BHP, better ride 5 link coil suspension, nicer interior, as well as the Ford, similar power, more room, more workman like vehicle.

As the old saying goes: if you want to go off road buy a Land Rover. If you want to go off road and GET HOME buy a Landcruiser/Hilux. Not a hope ANY Land Rover can compete with Toyota's legendary reliability and dependability! The choice is clear!

Just ordered a 2021 4x2 as I'm not an off-road freak. I think it should suffice to the country-side style living and carrying stuff. Plus the yearly tax in my country for a 4x4 is exactly 4 times more than the tax for the 4x2. Great video. Thanks.

Unless you want to frighten small children why would you want to make it look -more menacing- (00: 57? Or do people think that driving a -menacing -looking- truck will make them appear more butch?
Nice color though.

For the longest I considered buying a ticket to Afghanistan, infiltrate the Taliban and steal one of these bad boys because I just can't find any for sale.

I live in Thailand and the Ford Ranger sells about 1 to 10 against the Toyota Hilux.
The Ford Ranger has problems with its 10 speed autobox.
