Looks great! Style wise the French and Koreans are knocking spots off the Germans at the moment. BMW are making some of the ugliest looking cars at the moment, so if you-re not a badge snob the French certainly have that -Je ne ces quoi-. But. I was turned off the moment you mentioned -plug in hybrid-. Either make them like the Lexus (that I used to own) or a straight combustion engine. Then I-m in!

Finallly some decent hp in the DS line. I have a DS 5 which I like a lot, but DS missed the mark when it was launched, by not having an enthusiasts version to compete with the the Audi S and BMW -M- models. By not having a high performance version from the beginning, like Alfa did with the 510hp Guila Quadrofoglio, DS didn't generate the excitement and interest that it could have.

I-d buy this over the BMW or Audi as those two are so universal and tediously predictable. The DS9 still has some Gallic flair in a sea of grey and that reason alone would sell it to me. Plus the Germans are not so far ahead with their engineering anymore so that side is not a concern either. Why be a clone?

So not only is it made in China, it is more expensive than the competition. I don't get it, they are the underdog, their prices should be at least on par with Audi/BMW. All in all, I'd rather buy a 2nd hand C6 if I want to some of French premium character.

It-s still a Citroen and every luxury Citroen has flopped due to Being too expensive for essentially a ordinary Citroen with a posh badge. It will also devalue like a lead balloon and be worth 1/4 of its original price within three years

If we know that ds9 is made on Peugeot 508 platform, then we have to compare this wonderful car with cars like audi A4, volvo S60 or mercedes c class. for me, does not matter that cars that I mentioned are not long enough to compare with ds9

Hahahah it is so hilarious PSA is trying to sell this 508 as luxurious. DS is complete nonsense. They would have more success if turn the Opel/Vauxhall into premium then selling cheap copies of Peugeot as such. Posh my -ss: D

The french are building beautiful cars. They must just try to make them more reliable. French cars just don't have longterm reliability. The quality just isn't there yet

This does not deserve to be called a spiritual successor the Citroen CX, that honour goes to the C6. The DS9 is essentially a badge engineered Peugeot 508.
