Looks like a cut and shut. The front is a Hyundai Ioniq 5, the back end is a VW Golf. Car designs have been so samey since 90s/00s. Very few companies dare to be different, and in fact, just copy each other. Not a fan of modern Citroens but at least they usually come up with their own designs. Everything on the market looks like a BMW and an Audi had a secret illegitimate shame baby.

All cars today to a certain extent have design cues that are used by all brands of car, it-s nothing radically different, it has the same Ocean of dull, scratchy plastic interior, and whu hu! it-s stuffed with tech, most of which you will hardly use and still pay for, and a full EV coming to, so there you have it, another car we really need.

Will there be a three door, the proportions usually look better with three doors, but the Focus and Golf have stopped doing them I think. Also, if it's the Vauxhall version why is the steering wheel on the opposite side for the UK, is it an Opel preproduction car they swapped the badges and interior emblems on!

The interior is horrible: all this black piano trim, capacitive buttons and multiple lcd screens will look good for about an hour.
Then all the fingerprints, scratches and dust will start to accumulate, and the interior will look worse than an old, greasy tablet.

You don't have much faith in the Astra then. You say is it the car to beat the Golf. The Golf fairs pretty poorly in reliability and customer satisfaction surveys. The Golf is NOT a benchmark in which to judge other brands. Try the Toyota Corolla!

Steps to success
Outside: Make a box, put futuristic lights on it.
Inside: put a big lcd screen somewhere in there and a USB port.
Finally: make space in the chassis for batteries in the upcoming electric version
Job done.

Anyone know if plugin hybrids have the apps where you can preheat or precool the cabin before you get in? I don't see why not if it has battery only mode but it's never been said lol

I think it-s a nice looking car with decent spec. I think it will have to be super competitively priced to tempt buyers away from cara like the golf and focus though.

Am I the only one who doesn't like it, the dashboard just looks a bit odd, leg room in the rear isn't that impressive, more leg room in the Leon!
