i get nostalgic for
the air raid siren in the background,
the guy mowing his grass in the middle of most summer videos,
that guy! honking their horn or revving their motors.
lots of classics.
then we get the general background noise of a shop. Quite relaxing hearing the compressor kick on and off; the air curtains for doors or heaters in the winter. air and battery powered tools zipping away. I love all of it.
I'd love to just be a tire changer in a shop like Mr. O's, we can dream, can't we!

Here's an idea for you Internet Startups: watch all SMA videos with a diagnosis in it, store the facts in an LLM and then integrate the LLM with a code scanner.
Boom, you've got a new AI based scanner product that'll change the world of auto repair (or maybe not, lol. At least for this problem such an AI diagnosis might have worked.
But the average auto mechanic seems afraid of electrics and Eric O. will still be faster in solving the problem.

Some people like watching dirty videos while others including myself enjoy watching your videos. Either way I guess it's technically watching people working in their profession. Just doing their job. I imagine that the work and content in the first mentioned video's is quite repetitive too. In any event, keep plugging away there Eric. Even your rinse and repeats are fun. Merry Christmas to you and all.

2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 5. 3 quit on hwy
Shop down here in Md charged 5 hrs to find a bad ground I could have figured out myself but it’s been really cold and just didn’t want to suffer through it. I was down to bad ground or failed pcm I just shook my head and asked don’t you watch south main auto he said who I thought no wonder it took you so long

My wife’s car is a 2017 patriot with the big 2. 4. Same exact grounds. I checked them all after watching your videos. They all look good no problems with the car. I sprayed them all with fluid film about 6 months ago. I learn so much from watching your work. I am thinking it will help keep the old Jeep running better and longer. Thx u Eric

I think it's a valuable video even if it's a repeated repair because not everyone sees the same volume and variety of vehicles that you do. 2 Jeeps in 2 weeks with bad grounds, throwing a bunch of codes, will hopefully stick in one's mind if one sees something similar, instead of starting to replace cam actuators and O2 sensors!

Hey Eric. Looking for something with a bit more challenge Try a 2003 element auto 4wd, shifts ok when cold. When it's warm the tranny scan shows it sft to 2nd the tool indicates 1st and 2nd. Trans stays in 2nd. Codes for cvt pulley, salenoid A stuck (most common. Honda mrja trans with god knows how many miles or service

My brother in law had one of these. I did the same repair. There is a ground on the other side of the engine bay as well. I fixed it too. Only one was actually broken but the second on was well on it's way. It's like a headlight bulb. If one burns out, the other has the same number of hours on it so just do both.

My son dose repair work as a side job and watches your videos and said he has learned several tips from you that has made things easier to find. He would like to meet you but as we all know most u tubers prefer people DON'T just show up uninvited, so I know he'll keep watching. Thanks for all you do great info.

When it comes to Jeeps, I think the Mexicans have the right idea. If you say Jeep in Spanish the J is sounded as an H which makes a Jeep a HEEP and after seeing what my daughter went through with her Jeep, it most certainly was a Heap. A big, white, steaming Heap of, as the English put it, Shite.

Thanks for the tech tip. That is, circuit high or circuit open, means a missing ground. I like that. I've seen that problem before, just didn't think of it, or say it, that way.
Another Good one Mr. O. Now that ground is ready for snow, rain, ice, salted roads and more winter fun.

We have a '14 Infiniti qx80 that just developed 2 codes today. P0420 and P0430. Along with the dreaded flashing $$$ light. Now I find it extremely suspect that both of the cats mysteriously went bad at the exact same time. Any thoughts on this We are bringing it to our local shop this week.

So the guy who basically does all the Lasik surgeries here in town does the same thing over and over. I'll bet it gets a bit repetitive, but sometimes that's how it is.
Always nice to see someone who actually knows what they are doing, doing their thing!

3 years ago, you showed where you were tracking down the grounds on the Jeep. Wrangler, you had papers that showed the ground distribution. Where did you get those to print them out Or where can I Get them I have a 2011 Jeep Wrangler, thank you very much.

That’s great, same shop sent this one with the same problem, hilarious. Jeep has been doing this crappy ground system for 30 plus years. I had to clean up and solder all the crimped ground wires throughout the wiring harness on my 88 Cherokee.

You gotta comment on that video like one of those know it alls on how you messed something up by not sneezing into your right hand or something else completely meaningless. That's what caused this issue to come back. on a different vehicle.

I think it has been a while since we have seen failed TIPM's. Maybe you will now run into a string of those, which might require a few road trips to TIPM's General, Wilbert's of Bath, down the road from the Dollar General.

High mile 2015 escape 2. 0; 175k miles. Thing has at least 3 fuel pressure sensors. That one on the line back by the brake booster. Really difficult to get loose. And that upper o2 sensor above the cat Tough to break loose.
