A really tight video that allowed a home gamer to understand how the transducer gathered data and produced a wave form. I watched your video several times to burn it in. AES offers some videos that allowed me to have a idea how the scopes are set up, dialed in, and what they offer. I found them to be of value.
It's a crying shame that more people in more areas can't offer accurate diagnoses, because that parts cannon bill was a bit, and got someone nowhere.
Thank you for the video.

Always find it funny that Hemi is still a salivation bell for Mopar fanboys in the 21st century. Engines from more advanced companies (especially Euro and Japaese makes) have had hemispherical (or better) chambers since the 1960s and since the '80s it got hard to find an engine that doesn't except for the pushrod throwbacks. That's the power of marketing malarkey

my 2011 Challenger has 168, 000, thru random misfire code, then a day or 2 later cyl #5 misfire, she still hasn't had the TIC in her but after a littler testing & Diagnosis I now have a Cam & Lifter kit on the way. I have done cam kits on 7 or 8 over the years & replaced engines in another 15 or more Hemi cars & trucks. It is never IF but WHEN will they fail.

Hope you can find a cam for this customer. I can't find an OEM Intake cam for a 2016 3. 6 Dodge Journey at either of my two local dealers. I found one advertised as OEM on-line from a distributer I've never heard of at a price that sucks. Is Stellantis getting out of the parts business and letting the aftermarkets like NewYall carry the load

Not a mechanic here, just want to understand - If this were a GM Ecotech engine, (variable camshaft, could the misfire have been caused by a loose time chain, or an ECM that has not been trained (Or all cylinders would have been misfiring, not just one)

Explained very well! Pretty cool to be able to see the data on the screen, and have you explain exactly what that data means. Also a bonus that you don't need to tear into the engine to get eyes on the cam, to diagnose the problem. Keep up the good work!

How could you confirm the fault with analog equipment and without pulling the cam Is it possible I bought an oscilloscope because of you. I've used it more than 10 times in the last couple years. Now this makes me want to buy a pressure transducer.

It's honestly incredible how poorly designed just about every platform is now, it's mind boggling. I recently found out that Chrysler is switching to plastic A/C lines.
The EPA/UN is trying to force the common man out of owning transportation.

35 years of being a ASE master tech this is really fascinating technology and great diagnostics. Never seen a compression test at 193 psi though. now consider a new tool

Taking it to you first would have saved that guy all of that parts cannon money. Could've used it toward the cam replacement. Man, this world needs more Mr. O's.

I stopped your video short half-way thru and asked myself what would cause this. Then played the end. I was right. Way to use your tools for a correct diagnose.
