Have you ever used the explosive power of brake clean to seat a tie bead? Also, I know that Josh would never ask you because you are his boss and he is showing you respect, but I once had a boss who often referred to me as boy or his boy, when I was a man and was supporting a wife and child. For fear of not ruining the relationship or simply pissing off the boss I never told him I hated it, but many years later, I now remember him as the a hole that used to disrespect me, by calling me his boy or just boy. Please stop calling him boy or my boy, when he clearly looks like a man and is doing man's work. I live in Michigan and don't know Josh from Adam but each time I hear you say that, it does bring back to this old white dude those bad memories, that I can only imagine he may feel each time you say it. He's showing respect to you by not asking you to stop, so PLEASE show him respect also, by stopping. I can tell you aren't a mean person and look like you would never intentionally say something to hurt anyone. Like Mema used to say. If you don't. then Don't say it at all. Thanks for considering this comment Eric and you may just see his personality chance and open up a bit if you do. I'm just asking, but it's really up to you boy. (See it doesn't feel good) Take care and Knuckles, Jpol. Ps. I would never show or tell anyone I knew about your videos, if I knew they may hear you call me boy. Just saying, is all.

That was amazing! I loved seeing Trinity and how she responded to you and the camera. It was nice to see her casual when she wasn't thinking about the camera at the beginning. Once she became aware then her mind went to the camera and she didn't hear what you said. Then she forgot about the camera and chatted with you. One thing I would say is let those kids be what they want. It's unreal how the little things you say mold their minds at a young age. She may make a great mechanic and become the CEO of a car corporation one day. If you tell her no then she can grow up with negative thoughts toward something she would have been quite passionate about. Nice editing with the perfect music and everything else you do. You're obviously a perfectionist and it shows in all you do. Great video!

I think I need one of those coffee machines after binge watching your South Main Auto videos all morning. I got same job done on my old 97 Nissan Maxima station wagon, about 10 years ago, cost about 1200 all up, but it was well worth it at the time, because it virtually made the car drive like new again. Only difference with my job was the new springs in the rear were custom made to be stiffer than the OE springs.
This further improved handling of the vehicle. I sold that car to a friend and still to this day, has only 112, 000 kilometres on it. They don't put salt on the roads where I live.

Can you talk about tire pressure and the cause of blowouts.
Trailers have the most blowouts! Why? Because they rearly get used and over time all tires loose air pressure. Low tire press causes the side wall to flex excessively. this excessive sidewall flexing causes heat and heat causes blowouts!
I always over pressurize my tires. slightly. What is the downside to overinflated tires? Slightly more wear in the center of the tread. slightly. No blowouts from slightly higher tire pressure.

I always over pressurize my tires 3 to 5 psi above what the door post specifies. Why? Because blowouts are caused by low tire pressure conditions. High tire pressure is much safer and I don't find any concern able wear issues.
What vehicles do you see the most often with flat tires? Trailers. Boat, utitily, etc. because people don't check the pressure before use.

So you are willing to install parts that customers bring in? The shop I get my inspections at have a sign that says We don't install customer supplied parts, Don't ask. I assumed this was due the need to make a profit off the parts (to keep the business solvant) and avoid arguments over warranty issues, or Fitment problems. I assumed this was the norm. Any thoughts?

I remember one day in the shop the boss decided he was gonna help by putting new struts in a car. Tried like crazy to get it to extend. Pliers, grippers, got on it with all he had. One of the other guys then walked over and turned the nut 1/4 turn and it extended out by itself(gas charged)

I know old vidgeo! It's good to see you putting on customer parts. Hard to find in these parts. Plus, I'd rather buy local anyways. That car was relatively clean considering. Didn't need Big Nasty to knock the rust off on all four corners before working.

My friend changed out my rear struts on 1993 nissan sentra. Now the car makes clunking sounds when i go over bumps and it jiggles all over the place. He said getting new sway bar links will fix the problem. Does that sound right?

I just replaced my struts with good KYC struts, and watching this video totally validated the extra 20 they cost because those no-name struts from Mao's Fly-by-Nite Industries looked anemic compared to the KYC struts.
