You mentioned a couple times putting the customers you deal with in your videos, i don't think you mentioned it again though, are you still thinking of doing that, now that would make for some great viewing, but I guess if they didn't know that wouldn't be right unless you got their permission first, i can bet your views would jump ten fold just from the mere standpoint of entertainment, we only get what you tell us on what the customer wants and you keep it simple, any thoughts on this please?

You can buy a whole new Compressor and Kit which includes the accumulator and orifice line for about 150 on Rock Auto. That's where I buy all my A. C. parts. I just did a 2002 5. 9L diesel. I replaced the whole system including lines, condensor and evaporator core for 375 plus Freon. The evaporator core is bad about molding over and filling up with trash on these Dodge trucks. Worth replacing if you want good cold air. On the 2002 there is an old style and new style system.

1 time I got alternator from auto parts store got it home and it was open in the box there was a nice note from a tech stating that he opened it released it was wrong pin count the Chevy Infamous Infamous 4 pin and 2 pin alternator connector and that that he never installed it just a visual inspection and it was the wrong part so he took it back and that I have nothing to worry about that he didn't damage it

When my 5. 9 Ram AC clutch failed I was able to install a shorter serpentine belt, without removing the compressor. The biggest problem was the huge variance in hardware that Chrysler used, but eventually I did find a new bearing. As you say, what you would do on your own vehicle would not be appropriate for a customer because of the higher return rate.

Eric, 'they' should have little problem putting wrap back around that compressor to give it the new look that it is. Besides, not your fault. I'm anal as well about repackaging returns like I found them but sometimes. This is an interesting video so am looking forward to part II. Now I know what an A/C compressor looks like. That's always fun.

Nooooooooo! Not a puller against the compressor shaft! Next time get into your Astro kit and get a cup that will push against the front housing nose (aluminum column that the bearing encircles.
And the rotor bearings are not super-cheap, just cheap; )

So how often do you put a new compressor in and it's faulty because I just had one installed and it makes noise so I have to go back and get it repaired again with another new replacement

Advanced Auto gave someone the wrong part? I'm shocked.
I once tried to buy a break rotor for my 92 Jeep Cherokee. They tried to sell me a 4 lug rotor for something like a Honda.
