Ya same I also had the recall. But in my case there was some rust damage to the tank under the straps. Ford didn't tell me about it and I wasn't there to see so a few months later the tank started to leak. Probably couldn't handle the squeeze from those new straps. so inspect your tank when the straps come off to be sure u can get them to cover the tank before you find out later.
Perfect video for me I get to do it in the spring after the snow melts.

I had this job done on my 94 f150 & now it's not taking gas from fuel pump nozzle like it use to, I squirt about 20 cents worth of fuel & the pump shuts off. If I squeeze it the slightest bit it'll take fuel but that'll take days filling it up! lol What could be causing this? It was fine before taking to mechanic shop.

An other approach to this job, Eric, is to remove the bed. Easier than most people think. Especially when the fuel is so full. Even half a tank weighs a lot. One spark, we're done. So lucky I've been, having done this many times. Love you, Eric. You are a brilliant mechanic.

AIRTEX! For when you get tired of endlessly warrantying junk Dorman parts. You can endlessly warranty Airtex fuel pumps instead!
The J-nuts, as you call them, I believe are called extruded U-nuts.

Airtex is trash, the one and only time I ran one it lasted less than a year. Delphi pumps last forever (at 106k and about 10 years so far, with the last 3 years running E85.

May have been mentioned already but the tank straps look so nice because there was a factory recall on them due to a corrosion issue on the original straps.
