I just had a truck brought into our shop that has had the fuel pump replaced twice, (by my boss) and after some diagnosing I found that the ground to the pump is bad, so I put on the paper rec taking apart the ground wire for diagnosing to see where the short is or something along those lines. Long story short my boss came over and said why don't you just add a ground wire instead of trying to find the faulty part. Eric you probably won't see this but what's your opinion on adding a ground wire instead of finding out where it could be broke? The ground wire fed all the way up to the engine bay to a clump of wires that grounded a bunch of other components so I hope we don't have a come back with customer complaining of 5 different lights on dash!

GM = General Mess.
I've owned a 92 Regal with a 3. 8 has the worst spark plug change in modern history, and the most idiotic radio system ever. 03-1/2 cavalier, good engine, front right suspension popped and snapped over bumps during right turns. Never did figure that one out. New springs, struts, bushings, and ball joints. Motor mounts were absolute garbage. Fuel pump died at 35k. FPR leaked at 32K. 82 C-30 1-ton. Spent more money replacing rocker panels, fenders, and building a new bed than the truck was worth. Nevermind replacing the engine twice and trans once.

At 18: 50 - Rear defogger, purple wire, 1 slot wrong? You popped the new one into place 2 from left, bottom row on new block. While the original connector sits in place 3 from left, on the melt-damaged block. I just watched the whole video for relaxation, and noticed this. I know it is a 3 year old video. I did not see anyone commented about it, when looked and searched.
Thanks SMA for your videos.

Again, I am commenting from a professional view having spent over 50 years as a mechanic. This man is good, actually great. My question is who are these total idiots who have down voted him? Not one of them could have even known where to start fixing this car. This reminds me of what a friend used to say Creeps are a dime a dozen.

You've saved me so much fing money. You rock. My 3. 8l GP now runs like a champ. Turns out I had intermittent issues with the icm and the crank sensor simultaneously. Never would have bothered even looking into it if it was not for your videos. Now I just watch your videos for the fun of it since you fixed all my issues.

Love watching these videos. I watch them when I am warming up on my trumpet. I have the sound on a low volume and I turn on the closed captioning. There is nothing funnier than reading the words that CC claims you are saying while playing long tones. Thanks for making the videos!

Years ago an old timer showed me the trick of keeping some electrical tape wrapped around a small screw or bolt in order to work in a tight spot like you did. I like to keep a few loaded bolts in the tool box for this reason. Keep 'em coming Eric - you're running a clean show!

sounds like a FP relay connection socket with loose, corroded connections
replace one wire a time on the connector plug to avoid confusion!
Good repair job and Hannah sure is cute!
A Womans Purse and her Car are essential for daily life!
